I am getting bored with the current fashion for flashback in drama. It's fine to use it at the end to show what happened, or very occasionally to explain a motivation, but lately every other drama swings between past and present, seemingly gratuitously.

I think what is confusing in this one is there s not only flash back but flash forwards involving things that haven’t happened yet !

I agree. One of us will often say, when a well known actor is bumped off in the first scene, having uttered about five lines “that means flashbacks”.☹️

Thanks Bluebelle its a bit clearer. I think it was the other woman who did it she keeps injecting herself, is she diabetic I wonder. Will keep watching it.

Barmey she is injecting herself because she’s undergoing fertility treatment and is having embryos transplanted next week.

What flash forwards Blue?

Well they flashed on to the autopsy before we saw the fire and knew they were dead Suziewoozie

I missed that ?

Well I liked it. The mum being unstable is a red herring I think. The policeman was only looking at videos and found her buying the padlock- not really doing the investigating. I think the Headteacher was up to something with the wife. But I'm hooked.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and am really looking forward to seeing more. And it's only four episodes, instead of the usual six or eight, which is a big plus in my book.

I enjoyed it. Although “enjoy” is maybe not the best word to use as I found the fire scene quite upsetting.

I found the flashbacks a bit confusing but then I always find flashbacks confusing! I did think there were too many men with beards which made it difficult at first to work out who was who.

I’ll definitely be watching again though.

There’s also the issue of Charlotte’s birth - she’s disabled - that’s probably connected to the comments saying Kate had a hard time after the birth - gosh there’s a lot going on isn’t there?

When they left the dance one of the sisters was pushing her in the wheelchair.

Ahh I remember I thought it was just a youngster in a pushchair didn’t realise it was a wheelchair Did they have a wheelchair when they were all skipping to the beach ???
Maybe she got injured in the car crash ? What do you think ?

I was too distracted by all the sideways glances that seemed to be going in the beach scene to notice BlueBell.

I thought we saw all four - David Tennant (Tom) with wife and two girls - walking back from the hooley with the dancing etc. So the third girl who was killed, did she belong to the other couple?

Tom and Kate had three girls grannyticktick all dead, Emily, Iris and Charlotte

Bluebelle she was carried down to the beach and one of the adults had her crutches. She was the one who fell over and why MIL was so angry she’d been left unattended.

Ohh missed her being disabled suzie I remember one falling over and kate getting cross with Carol but missed the crutches just goes to show I m defo getting old

Though I saw a wheelchair after the dance, but I wasn't sure about the beach. I wondered if the car crash was something to do with it.

So the girl with infertility problems ( sorry can't remember her name) has been having an affair with Tom, the GP? Is that right? A flashback seemed to show that.

Yes, Mumofmadboys, she was having an affair with Tom or, at the very least, slept with him once.
