Caroline and Judith would make a great couple and John (the ex) could live with them ?

I watched the Anne Reid who do you think you are because of the comments on here but didn't think she came across as grumpy, far from it in fact. She kept laughing at serious crimes and failed to see any flaws at all in her ancestors character. I was inclined to think "Daft old bat" quite frankly.

I’m wondering how they will tie up all the loose ends in one episode next week.

Caroline’s silly little girl voice is really annoying me. Did she speak like that in the previous series? I hadn’t noticed it before.

I was a bit worried about ?Harrison cooking his tea in Alan & Celia’s shed - carbon monoxide poisoning?

I have a soft spot for Harrison. Excellent script writing.

I agree soop. Harrison is a great character and the young man playing him is doing an outstanding job.

Several laugh out loud moments for me last night. The policewoman was enjoying her opportunity to score some points against Gillian and it made a great scene. Harrison was brilliant too, and I love his relationship with Alan, what a lovely man he is and I hope Celia gets to appreciate him more soon. It looks as if Celia’s insistence to have her new kitchen is going to backfire on her as well so she may get her comeuppance.

We need at least 20 more episodes. How on earth can it be wrapped up next week?! I wish Gillian's Robbie would come back. She needs cheered up.

I didn't think Caroline was showing much authority in her new job and yes, that silly little voice is irritating.

She was unprofessional imo to invite that teacher to her home. Nasty response from the teacher though.

Yes I wondered why such a short series as well BlueBelle I have to say as its gone along I feel its lost some of its spark now.

Sadly I think the current series has lost the plot.
Too many silly story lines, trying too hard, and more like a comedy, whereas before it was quirky but could be related to as part of real life, with humour and pathos.
I wouldn't watch another series, but I do think Sarah Lancashire is a fine actress.

I can't imagine silly-voiced Caroline turning around a sink school.

Love this series and I think Derek Jacobi is brilliant!

Am sure that Caroline didn’t speak in the same little voice in the other series too, yes, she had a light voice but not like a little girl.
Wasn’t Gary the son of Alan by a different mother?
I thought the episode with the giraffe long drawn out and boring.
I expect I shall watch it to the end, but not watch any other new series, should one be made.

Yes, Gary was Alan's son by a fling he had whilst married to Gillian's mother. He was very high+profile, wealthy and, I think, owner of Huddersfield Town FC.

He was played by Rupert Graves. phwoarr.
