Seeing as we're all staying in a little lot more, we'd imagine the telly is getting a fair amount of attention. If you want to chat about whatever you're watching while it's on (or the next day) please do check our Telly forum topic and join in if there's already a conversation running. If not, why not start one? There's almost certainly someone else on here who's watching alongside you and would love the opportunity to dissect the plot/suggest whodunnit/debate actor's suitability to role/just want to say they love or hate it. grin

I love The Mash Report.

SirChenjin Sat 02-May-20 00:01:12

We watched the online comedy quiz in the Covid Arms - what an absolute load of rubbish. It was obviously targeted at millennials with lots of screaming at the camera and categories such as The Chase and Serial killers. We gave up after a few rounds and watched Graham Norton on iPlayer

He is indeed; just think, if he'd done the Sistine Chapel he would've turned it round in three days.

Is Bob Ross the painter chappie? I'd watched Grayson Perry and thought this would be similar. At least I now know who paints the pictures reproduced on the cheapo boxes of chocs my auntie used to give me. They were b. awful toogrin
Tonight I'll be watching A Question of Sport and HIGNFY

MayBee70 Fri 01-May-20 18:18:44

Fell asleep again watching Bob so need to rewatch to see how his triptych turns out...some things are sent to help us get through crises in our lives; Bob Ross was sent to me to help me sleep. Love'ya'Bob….

Have I Got News for You. It was rather awkward when they first had to do it from their own homes, but by last week they had managed to get used to it.

Oranges and Sunshine tonight on BBC2 at 23:20
Ive seen it before but it's worth another watch. It's about the Nottingham social worker Margaret Humphries and the scandal of the children sent to Australia

Rosalyn69 Fri 01-May-20 16:56:03

A Pink Panther movie for some light relief.
We don’t watch much actual TV. a lot of box sets.

mary51 Fri 01-May-20 16:53:41

Maybee70 we had an old DVd.

Puzzler61 Fri 01-May-20 15:52:43

DH , myself and the ? will be watching Peter Kay tonight.
He makes me belly-laugh with his witty observations of folk from all walks of life (both real and imagined). I miss him coming out with any new stuff since he slipped out of the limelight, but wish him, his family and especially his lovely Mum well.

Pantglas2 Fri 01-May-20 15:52:14

Also just spotted The Shadows at Sixty on BBC 4

Pantglas2 Fri 01-May-20 15:51:04

Bill Nighy narrating scenic railway through Scotland.

Whitewavemark2 Fri 01-May-20 15:46:33

maybee yes! I thought I’d watch it and as you say they are truly dreadful. He’s like an ageing hippy.

MayBee70 Thu 30-Apr-20 21:54:24

What was that on? I've never seen it.

mary51 Thu 30-Apr-20 20:40:48

Just watched Grapes of wrath. Brilliant and so poignant. Young Henry Fonda.

craftyone Thu 30-Apr-20 20:15:24

tv is rubbish. I just watched agafia on youtube, was very interesting and makes us appreciate mod cons.

MayBee70 Thu 30-Apr-20 20:11:48

If anyone can't sleep can I recommend The Joy of Painting on BBC4 [quite late]. I've yet to stay awake for the whole 30 minutes but then have to rewatch to see how the painting turns out...even though they are truly awful. Bob Ross was a cult figure in his day, I believe.

Kalu Thu 30-Apr-20 18:04:07

Oh yes please Pantglas Very easy on the eye?
Brunette ?
I recognise some of the faces but those I know are Brit Ekland, Zandra Rhodes and Duncan Bannatyne

callgirl1 Thu 30-Apr-20 18:01:03

Marion, would that be Jay Flynn`s quiz? Our family all do it as well, via Zoom, we love it.

Jennist Thu 30-Apr-20 16:20:46

Babylon Berlin is amazing!

Brunette10 Thu 30-Apr-20 16:15:35

merlotgran Thu 30-Apr-20 16:11:49

We're going to watch Beat the Chasers on ITV +1 after Marigold Hotel.

MarionHalcombe Thu 30-Apr-20 16:09:36

Virtal pub quiz on YouTube on Thursdays. We have a competition with friends and usually lose but still have a good time.

EllanVannin Thu 30-Apr-20 16:04:03

I too will be watching the Marigold Hotel as I enjoyed the previous ones. Which means I'll have to give Beat the Chasers a miss tonight because I've been enjoying that too, but never mind it'll be on tomorrow grin

Pantglas2 Thu 30-Apr-20 16:02:00

I’ll be watching that too Kalu & Brunette - if only Richard Gere was likely to turn up.....
