Seeing as we're all staying in a little lot more, we'd imagine the telly is getting a fair amount of attention. If you want to chat about whatever you're watching while it's on (or the next day) please do check our Telly forum topic and join in if there's already a conversation running. If not, why not start one? There's almost certainly someone else on here who's watching alongside you and would love the opportunity to dissect the plot/suggest whodunnit/debate actor's suitability to role/just want to say they love or hate it. grin

Grayson Perry isn’t on?

Anniebach Thu 16-Apr-20 18:25:30

Weatherman Walking and a Willie Nelson concert

Pantglas2 Thu 16-Apr-20 18:10:47

Derek Brickway Weatherman walking - he’s doing my neck of the woods Abergwyngregyn to Conwy.

BBbevan Thu 16-Apr-20 18:06:46

Grayson Perry, when we come in from clapping for the NHS

MawB Thu 16-Apr-20 17:56:24

Treasure Island from the NT I hope. Better set a timer for 7.58 so that I don’t miss the Big Clap as I did a fortnight ago blush

Started watching Baptiste last night and looking forward to more of the same tonight.

Also watched Self Isolating with Susan Colman again. Very humorous as she chats to well known TV faces from her back garden.

I'd recorded Quiz and during the last minute or so, my recording stopped.

The newspaper offered them a large sum of money for their story. That's when it switched off - did they take it and was that the end of the episode?

I thought it was a really interesting drama. If it was a fairly accurate representation, I'm not sure how the jury arrived at the verdicts of guilty since, to my mind anyway, there was a reasonable doubt as to their guilt. I hadn't been aware that the Major was in Mensa - he came across as not overly bright but sometimes people with an unusually high IQ aren't obviously clever. I thought it was also a very good point their barrister made re editing of the video tape - the alleged coughing "signals" being more noticeable amongst the other 100+ coughs because they alone were amplified.

Whatever they did, I think it was quite appalling that they received hate letters and death threats, their dog was shot and their children had to be taken out of their schools. There is nothing worse than a rabble.

I am watching Wolf Hall on catch up then springtime on the farm at 8pm on ch5. Then I will go back to Wolfe Hall.

I'm looking forward to the final episode of Quiz, great entertainment. Michael Sheen has a gift for capturing the body language and facial expressions of his characters.

Floradora mentioned Susan Hampshire, brought back lovely childhood memories of watching her in What Katy Did.

Last night I watched Brexit on Netflix. Benedict Cumberbatch was credible as a chilling Dominic Cummings, but I thought that the actors playing Boris Johnson and Michael Gove made caricatures of them.

We’re going to watch all three episodes of Quiz this evening. I’m looking forward to it. It’ll help fill the gap left by The Nest and Wolf Hall coming to an end. I loved both of them.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 15-Apr-20 12:43:33

Yes, I got a bit over-excited and got the wrong day for The Quiz - let's face it, there's not much going on in our lives at the moment to get excited about, is there?
I found it very entertaining.
I think some of the people involved got their just desserts. If I've got the right actor - Michael Sheen also morphed so successfully into Brian Clough. A local hero to football fans in the East Midlands.

EllanVannin Wed 15-Apr-20 11:37:53

There were a few coughing incidents in last nights episode. Are they all in on it ?? We'll see.

Sparklefizz Wed 15-Apr-20 11:36:34

Tonight I'll be watching Location, Location, Location and then the last episode of Quiz.

Floradora9 Tue 14-Apr-20 22:44:16

Not much on TV that we liked so we have watched 3 Oscar Wild plays on marquee.tv We got a free trial and it is wonderful. To-night was " An Ideal Husband " with Susan Hampshire and two of the Fox family as father and son. To-morrow might be a ballet or an opera.

Callistemon Tue 14-Apr-20 20:06:39

He is so good at portraying other well-known characters.
But chatting away, he is his usual Welsh, not a trade of Hollywood!

merlotgran Tue 14-Apr-20 19:43:25

We will also be watching Quiz and agree, Michael Sheen is superb.

I'm also looking forward to the program about Prue Leith and her adopted daughter, Li Da returning to Cambodia. It clashes with Quiz so we'll watch it afterwards on 4+1.

TerriBull Tue 14-Apr-20 19:37:20

"Quiz" Michael Sheen is a master of impersonations, as with Blair, he has Chris Tarrant off to a t, so much so, maybe even CT can't tell the difference grin

Sallywally1 Tue 14-Apr-20 19:18:54

Freud on Netflix. It’s good, a bit strange, but then I
Ike strange!

Gaunt47 Tue 14-Apr-20 19:13:54

Quiz. Lovely enjoyable tosh: well written, well cast and well shot. Looking forward to tonight's episode.

EllanVannin Tue 14-Apr-20 19:10:36

Quizz. What a swindling shower.

Sparklefizz Tue 14-Apr-20 18:38:48

I watched Quiz too and enjoyed it. Michael Sheen had Chris Tarrant's gurning and mannerisims and tone of voice off to a tee. Episode 2 tonight.

Eloethan Tue 14-Apr-20 00:21:56

I watched The Nest and thought it was a really good drama - quite a positive ending too, which was very welcome. I had feared it would be sad, and there's enough of that at the moment.

I watched Quiz too. I thought it was quite good and the background information was very interesting.

It doesn't seem that long ago since Who wants to be a millionaire started but now I realise it was. Audiences of 19 million would be almost, if not completely, unheard of now.

callgirl1 Tue 14-Apr-20 00:13:20

I only watched Quiz because my daughter wanted to see it, but I was surprised to find myself liking it.

merlotgran Mon 13-Apr-20 22:29:25

Really enjoyed The Quiz. Very revealing and I don't think I'll ever watch WWTBAM in the same light again.

Looking forward to the next two episodes.
