Too much CV19 on T.V.

Evening all, sending good, healthy wishes.

Trivial I know, but the disruption of tonight's tv programmes seem a bit ott.

Surely the news bulletins on tv or radio will tell us what we need to know? And what about the old fashioned"newsflash" for anything "new"?

Can we not be allowed to watch "ordinary" programmes, such as "Location Location, Location" as a bit of light relief?

I'm quite capable of getting the info needed from the standard news, whether on tv or radio, and would actually rather appreciate a break from it!

Perhaps only me that feels like this?

The news about the virus is certainly depressing. It is probably not good for any of us to watch all the hourly bulletins, but having said that, we really should not be puting our heads in the sand and convincing ourselves that "good old Boris" is sounding positive so we don't have anything to worry about.

We have a lot to worry about, including the fact that "good old Boris" is supposed to be the leader of our country at this dreadful time.

Yes, I agree with you all. There’s overload, and it’s causing a lot of distress and the continual reports of panic buying is causing even more panic buying.
I think the daily bulletin from BJ and the Chancellor and the scientific advisors/CMO is adequate, without the preceding hour and following hour speculating about and then analysing the bulletin being necessary, especially as it is then all repeated on the 6pm news and 10 pm news anyway.
We need some respite or we’ll all go mad.

We haven't watched all of the Endeavour episodes

Time to investigate what is on.
