Just how far in advance is this recorded I wonder.
I keep waiting for some mention of the virus. All though silly at times they do tackle some serious issues quiet well so it's bizarre watching at the moment.

P.S. We all knew what was coming with Doug and Ruhma didn't we smile

I am so pleased to see that someone else watches Doctors. I know some of the story lines are weak, but I still enjoy the antics amongst the staff.

Do you know if Doug has been in Ruhma's life before?

Marydoll Wed 15-Apr-20 09:40:21

I too enjoy Doctors, it's my secret treat. The stories can be quite silly at times.

They wouldn't be able to film during the current situation, as they wouldn't be able to distance each from each other.

There was a reference to Doug knowing Ruhma previously, but I wasn't paying much attention! It's just so easy to watch.

I watch Doctors too, horrible Doug, more trouble coming for Ruhma I fear. I have to switch the tv off quickly when its finished or I'd be watching Father Brown or whatever comes next?

Yes, I enjoy Doctors, to the extent of recording it so that I don't break into my constant cycle of housework and gardening, (not). Some of the story lines are good, frequently with an unpredictable twist, and those that are silly are no worse than Holby City and Casualty, which I gave up on several years ago. That said, Ruhma and Doug: daft!

I love Doctors! I never set out to watch it but somehow it is always still on after the lunchtime news.

One of my favorite soaps. I stick with it, even with its so very long breaks at different times of the year. Some episodes get very surreal, but that is all part of the fun. I record this and Neighbours (although that has disappeared at present), and watch them both whilst eating my tea.

We like Doctors as well but my husband doesn't like silly episodes. We thought Ruhma had known the horrible Doug previously. Is she about to be suspended following a complaint ?

Feelingmyage55 Wed 15-Apr-20 22:23:44

Doctors is my guilty secret. A good time to stop for half an hour, I thought Rhuma knew Doug as having been a friend/colleague of Heston?

GagaJo Wed 15-Apr-20 23:14:46

I love it too! It’s my stress relief.

I also download it. I watch it when flying, because it calms me.

oldgimmer1 Thu 16-Apr-20 08:01:38

I've watched it since DD was one, and I haven't missed an episode since. I watch on Catch-up now. It's so daft but irresistible.

Yes-i think Ruhma knew Doug through Heston. Can't stand her, so hope she's on her way out now.

FindingNemo15 Thu 16-Apr-20 08:21:36

I think Valerie is Marmite. I wish they would get rid of her.

Beechnut Thu 16-Apr-20 08:40:15

I think Bear has a lovely happy looking face. My lunch and Doctors are the same time ?

eazybee Thu 16-Apr-20 09:56:28

I cannot bear Bear; the archetypal wide boy. I was so hoping he was going to be behind Jimmi Clay's misfortunes.

oldgimmer1 Thu 16-Apr-20 10:06:39

Me too, eazybee.

Loved his outfit yesterday - very Rupert the BEAR.

I've never forgiven Valerie for dumping Barry at the altar.

dragonfly46 Thu 16-Apr-20 10:09:23

Yes I record Doctors and Neighbours sadly. Franburn Neighbours is on on Mondays and Fridays.

Deedaa Thu 16-Apr-20 10:24:03

I've been watching Doctors since I got hooked when GS1 was a baby. Filled in his afternoon nap time nicely. I always like the slightly off the wall episodes - the week they did based on Shakespeare sonnets and the one where Al was mixed up in Oh Whistle and I'll Come to You. And the six month old babies that pregnant women always give birth to in half an hour are always fun!

sodapop Thu 16-Apr-20 12:39:30

My husband can't stand Zara but I love her bitchiness and sarcasm. I find Bear irritating in his ridiculous trousers. It's a nice easy watching programme for the after lunch slump.

ninathenana Thu 16-Apr-20 13:12:17

Will Ruhma be back do we think, or has she been written out.
Totally daft to invite Doug in when he turned up on the doorstep.
Zara can be a bitch but I think the actress portrays her so well. It's snidie little Izzie I can't stand.

kittylester Thu 16-Apr-20 13:49:46

I quite like Bear. blush

oldgimmer1 Thu 16-Apr-20 16:45:19

Izzie is awful.

I don't think they'll write Ruhma out. She's been in trouble before and always manages to wriggle out of her difficulties.

She's so smug and annoying. And yes, WHY did she let Doug in?
