I have never seen any of the Star Wars films and have no interest in doing so .

Until last year I had never seen The Sound Of Music ( actively avoided it in fact ) and only watched it then because we were visiting Salzburg .

Harrigran,i fall asleep during most of the movies when at cinemagrin

The bond movies with Daniel Craig in are ok,much more up to date than the old ones.(though id probably say Roger Moore was the best bond- fitted the profile perfectly.

I let my son(21,lives at home, big film buff!) come give me a thorough run down of films hes watched/watching- then i decide if its any good or not worth watching!grin

Lizzies, you really should give Dirty Dancing a go if you like Patrick Swayze- also Roadhouse he was good in that too.wink

Mary Poppins (old & new versions)
Any Carry On film

OH is a great film fan, he'll watch most things but if he puts one on that doesn't instantly grab me I leave him to it..

Perhaps I should give some of them more of a chance.

No James Bond, no Marvel, no Lord of the Rings, nothing scifi

mrsgreenfingers56 Thu 23-Apr-20 11:35:00

The Exorcist, would never watch that and scare myself half to death, no thanks!

nipsmum Thu 23-Apr-20 11:28:57

Most of them. It would be easier to list what I have seen. The Sound of music in 1967, The latest Jane Austin one with my daughter a few months age. The Latest Abba one last year.. I'm so bad I don't remember the names .

Wendy Thu 23-Apr-20 11:17:52

Never watched any of the Mad Max movies

schnackie Thu 23-Apr-20 11:17:37

Even though I was a nurse, I am a very 'sensitive soul' and cannot watch anything with torture in it. I know I miss some amazing films but I fear my mind will be affected for days afterwards. I was lucky confused to finally see the Shawshank Redemption when it was on tv last year. I recorded it and then when I could see upsetting scenes coming up, I covered my eyes and fast-forwarded. I now see why people find it such an amazing film. I cannot imagine that I will be able to watch Schindler's List however much I wish I could.

Whilst grandson sitting for a week in 2018 and 2019 I took him to see a cartoon about a dog and the third toothless movie. Only movies I've seen in over 30 years. I don't watch them on TV either as i seem to have the attention span of a teenager

TrendyNannie6 Thu 23-Apr-20 11:11:50

Never watched any Harry Potter films and not interested at all in watching

Blinko Thu 23-Apr-20 11:10:35

No H.Potter or Lord of the Rings films. Only the first Star Wars, when the kids wanted to watch it.. Rocky, nope, likewise horror films. I have seen GWTW but quite agree, the heroine was a complete b*tch and thoroughly deserved all she got.

Musicgirl Thu 23-Apr-20 11:07:46

Saw the first Star Wars film aged 13 with a friend for her birthday treat. I had to feign pleasure and interest afterwards. I have never seen another one and do not intend to as I do not like sci-fi. I saw the last part of The Hobbit to accompany friends and fell asleep. I certainly do not intend to see any of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

timetogo2016 Thu 23-Apr-20 11:01:08

No Harry Potter films.
No Star Wars/Dr Who/Marvel/Rocky and quite a few more too.

Bennan Thu 23-Apr-20 10:58:58

I have never seen ‘Gone With The Wind’. I started to read the book but put it down before I’d reached the end of the first chapter. The heroine was an absolute nightmare! Whatever happened to her she richly deserved!!

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 23-Apr-20 10:56:46

Never watched a star wars film, never heard the 'Fast and Furious' films or 'Marvel films'!

Chardy Thu 23-Apr-20 10:54:26

I've never seen Gone with the Wind. I've always meant to watch it, but just never have. Maybe I'll see if I can find it on Amazon Prime or something, or buy a DVD.

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Apr-20 10:54:15

I've only ever seen one James Bond, and that was enough. Goldfinger.

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Apr-20 10:53:08

I only got ten minutes into Mamma Mia before switching off. But I might try again as I did watch the follow up on holiday and quite enjoyed it, even if it was punctuated from the start by DH's snores.

One that friends kept recommending to us was Taken. We eventually caved in and watched it. What a load of tosh.

Willow500 Thu 23-Apr-20 10:45:42

Gone With the Wind, Titanic or any of the Mama Mia films. I can't watch Dunkirk either as my dad was there.

Betty18 Thu 23-Apr-20 10:45:10

A@NotAGran55 also not seen star wars but like you only just seen the sound of music for the first time . And only as my choir is doing a stage performance of this later in the year .
Can’t say I’ll bother again mind you . Too long and I guess I just didn’t get it ! Quite enjoying dressing as a nun though ?
