News Quiz was always so much better than HIGNFY. But....but both of these programmes really do need a live audience and as neither can have them at the moment, they try to make up by giggling and laughing amongst themselves....and that really does not cut it.
I can understand that they are trying to put these shows out....but they are NOT as normal, and do need somehow to have some sort of audience response, perhaps this would the one time when some sort of canned laughter could be used. (Never thought I would EVER say that about anything)

HIGNFY is dire now.
Not worth transmitting!
News Quiz is also off my list. Gave up on it when Miles Jupp took over.

It’s deffo not the same but it’s better than nothing I suppose. I’m listening to recording of The Unbelievable Truth on Radio 4. A panel game that can be really funny depending on the guests of course.

HIGNFY was always on our not the be missed list. Now it’s fairly painful so we’ve almost given up.
The protagonists need to be in the same room I think.

It’s hard to create the atmosphere in a zoom type meeting. They are no replacement for the real thing. They don't play off each other so well.

It’s because they are in separate houses isn’t it? HIGNFY was the same the other week. Just not funny

Is it me? I used to really enjoy this programme. A bit of banter around this week’s happenings. But the present team are so banal and giggly, laughing at every utterance. More like a bunch of teenagers after a glass or two. Has it been dumbed down or is it me being a sourpuss.
