Is Netflix worth paying for?

I was going to join and decided against - there is a scam going round saying people owe money but not got an account - just be aware

I have amazon prime and my daughter has Netflix. Would recommend both.
With the amazon firestick you can also access Netflix, you still pay for both but they're on the one remote.
Its also worth looking for some of the free kids apps and other niche channel apps, many of which are also free.

Couldn't live without it! So much choice.

I have Amazon prime and find that is enough. I have a smart tv so can watch films etc from it on tv.

Certainly is worth it.

I would try NOW TV it's a lot cheaper .

We share my daughter’s Netflix account ( she has a different address but it’s still allowed). We watched all of Reign, about Mary Queen of Scots, the first series was good, but it then deteriorated into nonsense. We both enjoyed Troy - Fall of a City and of course absolutely loved The Crown. I think it’s definitely worth the subscription, especially with a potentially long winter ahead.

I find its hit and miss. I wish there were better descriptions of films. I find i start watching, then 10 minutes later I realise its not for me.

We watch terrestrial TV, we have all the options on Freeview, and can watch the catchup channels (BBC iPlayer is a favourite) BUT still find lots to watch on Netflix. As well as drama and films, they also do some good documentaries - have lately watched Michelle Obama's "Becoming" and "Social Dilemma" (about how we're being manipulated online). It's only £5.99 per month and no contract, so you can cancel it at any time. Will need it in the winter months ahead. (PS a friend had SKY and Netflix, and she's recently cancelled the former because she reckons Netflix is better).

Some binge watching of series went on here can’t believe I’d have ever admitted to that but thoroughly enjoyed so much of it. Even get a little pleasure from the NF duh duh sound lol.

I am havering over my Netflix subscription at the moment due to the recent debacle about Cuties. I plan to investigate for myself the commissioning & production by Netflix before coming to my own decision about this being a storm in the proverbial tea cup or the thin edge of child sexualisation becoming even more mainstream/hiding in plain sight.

We've never had Netflix so I can't really comment on that, but my children get extra TV because they have Amazon Prime and they like Netflix.

We've been in temporary accommodation without Sky for over a month now and cannot believe how little there is on Freeview that we actually want to watch, particularly at the weekend.

We've been watching the ITV3 detective series during the week because there isn't much else, but even they are repeated at the weekend so there is nothing left.

Sometimes we find that the only programme we want to watch are broadcast back to back and we have no means of recording them - very frustrating. Looking forward to getting back to a Sky box.

Definitely worth it-lots of good series to follow. DS also uses my account for children’s programmes.

Like JackK, we share our Netflix account with friends, who share their Amazon Prime with us. (This is perfectly legal and costs each of us a slightly higher monthly subscription.) Well worth the money, IMO.

My sister who lives in the USA came to stay at my house for a month to look after my father who had suffered a stroke whilst we were visiting our new grand baby in Australia. She loaded her Netflix subscription onto our TV. We still enjoy it today ( five years later!)

I share my Netflix account with my son and he shares his Amazon prime account with me ... I never watch normal TV! The best series EVER is This is Us; beautifully produced - magical!

Yes. It also has heaps of foreign language subtitled films and series, plus some fab documentaries. So much variety. Since I lost my DH last year, TV has become my best mate (apart from the dog, bless her!) and there is almost too much choice!! Get the trial and have a good look round. Enjoy!

Yes, yes, yes and yes. I don't watch anything on TV apart from medical progs. All my other watching is Netflix or catching up with stuff I missed on iplayer.

We share my daughters account and find Netflix great. We got it to see a film that I can't remember now and I'm now watching the Crown and Designated Survivor. Many more on my watch list so to me it's definitely worth it!

Yes , Netflix is worth it as lots of good films and series to watch . I don’t watch terrestrial TV anymore as have Sky also and between them there is a lot of choice .

I've got Sky and didnt want to pay a lot extra for Netflix. So rang Sky and got a really good deal by changing my package slightly. Been glad to have it. Currently watching a thriller series called High Seas. There have been a couple of very good Harlan Coben series on too.
