I enjoy Gogglebox as I’ve already said, but I do agree with Jane43 in that those pre-arranged situations that are brought in for us to think are funny are rather silly and irritating. Sometimes the viewers are looking at empty chair/s with voices coming from another room and then some daft scenario takes place that it absolutely nothing to do with the programme that’s about to be discussed. What’s that all about?! It’s there to pad out the programme I should think. I do wonder whether some of it is scripted. That’s the negatives - I still find the rest of it really funny. I’ve never really noticed a political agenda in the programme - am I missing something there?!

I cringe when I see the Manchester family with the display of cakes set up as a centre piece. Then they all have their outdoor shoes on while they rest their feet inches away from the cakes.

I love how the family with the big dog always have a plateful of cakes/biscuits artfully arranged. I like the gay man and his friend in the mobile home.

Me too, Lucca! A few months ago, they showed the dog's family's living room but it was empty although the cakes were in situ. The dog came in and wolfed some down!

Some of you may remember Scarlett Moffatt, a participant in an earlier series. She has carved out a TV career for herself with regular appearances on quiz shows. Recently, I heard Nutty being interviewed on Woman's Hour.

Mary is beginning to sound like she's sick to death of Giles at the moment.

Maybe it's the thought of a second Lockdown?

I love Gogglebob, everyone has orders not to ring me while it is on, [unless urgent of course]
Mary often looks disgusted with Giles, and in the last weeks episode i think it ws he mentioned a flange, and she said" oh Giles please don't say that word its horrible"
I'm not keen on the brother and sister either, but i live Jenny and Lee,in the caravan, and the Siddiqes
I used to like Steph and Dom who used to be on when the show was first aired

Lucca, I agree. Her laugh is like nails scraping down a blackboard! They are a very strange pair.

I used to enjoy this when it first started, but its far too contrived now. I think the producers tell them to say silly things that have nothing to do with reviewing tv programmes. I am no prude, but I also feel there is far too much swearing! I love the dad with his two sons. They are one of the few intelligent families to appear on the show....and the dad is very handsome too!

I love Gogglebox. I'm sure that some bits are scripted but some just couldn't be. As to the swearing - lots of people swear especially in the comfort of their own homes.
I like Malones and their cakes which they are, understandably, never seen eating!
Giles writes for the 'Oldie'. He's not as daft as he might seem. I read a joint diary that they both wrote. It was very entertaining.
I'd love to be in that caravan with Jenny and Lee. Such fun!

Giles and Mary are very intelligent, and probably happily married, despite Marys constant belittling of her hubby! She writes for a newspaper and used to be a model.

Mary/Nutty grew up on the next street to me. Her accent is nothing like home, her dad was a local GP. I don’t think Giles is one bit stupid and just winds her up.

Love Mary and Marina. Jenny and Lee. And of course the Sidiqis.

I also love gogglebox it’s great entertainment, and love all who’s in it , especially the Siddigies family , and yes , dad is handsome , also are the three brothers , Mary and Giles are funny along with Mary? and Marina , but certainly don’t like the brother and sister pair , the come across as so childish and also can be disrespectful , they think their funny when they are not , wish they wouldn’t screech when they laugh!

Dibbydod, couldnt agree more! Get the brother and sister off. They think they’re much funnier than they are.

I love Googlebox and don’t look for any underlying agendas, it’s just a spot of Friday fun.
