Have you been back to the cinema yet?

Hubs and I went to see The Last Letter from your Lover (from the book by Jojo Moyes) yesterday. We enjoyed it very much, and it was such a treat to go to the Cinema again, we used to go a lot until the World went mad.
There were only nine of us in there though, but it was the afternoon.
Hope the cinema regains its popularity soon.

I quite fancy seeing Old. But again, it might be a bit close to home for those of us who are already nearly there.

I'm a bit of a film buff so I used to go to the cinema at least twice a week and sometimes three of four if you including local independent clubs showing films which never reach the chains.

During lockdown I bought a smart TV and have subscribed to several apps that given me a wide range of films. Netflix doesn't often meet my tastes but Amazon Prime, BFI and Curzon have a good range.

I'm back to doing most social things that I used to before Covid but sitting in an enclosed cinema for three hours doesn't appeal at the moment where, potentially, infectious aerosols could be floating in the air. It helps that it's school holidays which is always a dry season for adult viewers.

Maybe come September or October, if there's something that warrants seeing on a big screen, I might be tempted back but not for now.
