Don Everly has died - loved the music

I loved their music. It was part of my teenage years. ?

I was surprised to learn he was still alive. Sad for their mother to outlive both of them.

Oh I loved them. Slightly before my time but my sister played their records all the time. RIP Don.

So sad (to quote one of their songs). They have always been my favourites.

I was sad too, very much part of my youth and later, when they reunited. The Albert Hall reunion concert was brilliant.

I was surprised too that at 84 his mother is still alive. She has outlived both her sons. Oh those soaring harmonies, wonderful.

They were much played when I was young. Adored them.

‘Let It Be Me’, what a beautiful song. Their gorgeous voices in such harmony.
I know they had fall outs, I hope they reconciled before Phil’s death.
I watched a great documentary about them a while ago, I hope it will now be repeated in tribute to them both.

Cathy's Clown was a favourite of mine.

So sad! We saw the Everleys twice. The second time was in Aberdeen and as we walked back to our car afterwards we bumped into them leaving the back of the theatre. They were muffled up in many coats, hats, gloves and scarves and clearly not impressed by the Aberdonian weather!

How extraordinary that their mother is still alive.

A part of my teenage years. Great music and great lyrics. Happy days. Sad times now. My younger brother died suddenly last Sunday evening.

I saw them 5 times over many years and their last concert was as good as the first. Their voices and harmonies never failed. Let it be me is one of my favourites too. I think they had reconciled Calendargirl.

I'm hoping they show the reunion concert as a tribute, it really was brilliant. I had a VHS copy but nothing to play it on these days.

Thank you everyone. My other brother, the twin of the brother who died last Sunday has also been diagnosed with cancer. I feel very sad at the moment.
