Does anyone else find the new theme tune on Endeavour irritating It drown out the beginning and I find it totally wrong for the series. Don’t know whether I will watch it again but if I do it will be on silent for the first few minutes.

Yes I agree with all the Agatha Christie comments. I didnt realise this was the last episode.

I would like it to come back again, but with writers who are interested in the decade and the characters.

I will definitely miss Roger Allum.

As a Oxford girl living away from home I was so disappointed in last night episode.
It was like a weak pantomime who done it all contained inside a gloomy dark house.
Missed the delights of the scenery of Oxfordshire and cars ect

I've been an Endeavour fan for ages but I was very disappointed with last nights episode. The back stories on characters did make it a bit interesting i.e. Thursday's soldier son being AWOL and Endeavour having a drink problem but the rest was just a load of tosh.

I haven't watched the last one yet but feel that so far it has been disappointing.

Well I enjoyed last night’s episode. It was gripping and atmospheric and it took my mind off a couple of worries.
I also appreciated Morse’s comment at the end about a Thaw coming.
Haven’t noticed the change in theme tune. Was that really the last episode in this series? Disappointed if so.

It was filmed during lockdown, so there were restrictions on locations.

growstuff that makes much more sense now.

I must have been having a dull brain moment, because although I heard Endeavour say that about the thaw, I didn't get it. Thanks for pointing it out Treebee

I'm fairly sure the earlier series had much more realistic and believable plots. I think it is a terrible shame that each episode now seems to have an Agatha Christie type convoluted plot that bears no resemblance to real life. I like Agatha Christie by the way but don't think that style is appropriate for something like Endeavour.

There are some great actors in Endeavour and I wonder if they feel satisfied with the way this is going.

Thank you growstuff I'm of the belief if you can't do the episode justice by no outdoor location ect then pointless filming and to ruin a good series with inside drivel
