Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Doodledog

It was comical, wasn’t it?

Who was the tall ghost wandering round at the end?

I’m wondering that too. What new nonsense awaits us? grin

Doodledog
Who was the tall ghost wandering round at the end?

I suspect that was our Craigy working as an undercover detective. He’ll remove his disguise and reveal that he witnessed everything including Corey’s confession.

That sounds like an episode of Scooby Doo?

Any thoughts on the scene with Roy and Abi lying wrapped in each other’s arms? Has Roy been emboldened by his own bravery and is now going to embark on an affair with Abi??

Looks like Kevin could be laid up for a while with his injuries. I have visions of him home alone singing that old Kenny Rodgers song. All together now…

Oh Abi, don’t take your love to Roy! ? ??

Doodledog Thu 21-Oct-21 09:54:13

grin

Nooo! Roy is decency personified, and Abi is spoken for.

Aveline Thu 21-Oct-21 09:57:17

Agreed Doodledog. It's unthinkable!

Not now she has had a one-night stand with Imran and may find out she's pregnant. Oo-er!

Grannynannywanny Thu 21-Oct-21 11:16:20

Yikes, with all the drama this week I’d completely forgotten about the one night stand!

Namsnanny Thu 21-Oct-21 15:43:01

Well the writers can keep us in suspenders for quite a while before they decide if Abi is with or without child.
To be perfectly honest, this is the first time in a very long time I've looked forward to the next episode of Corrie.
Daft plot or not, they've perked up my interest! ( Dosent say much for me does it?)?

Namsnanny Thu 21-Oct-21 15:48:37

Just to add Roy is the only character to gain browny points in popularity throughout this silliness.
Wouldn't we all love him as a devoted friend?
Rock On Roy!

Aveline Thu 21-Oct-21 15:50:48

Roy's the boy!

Grannynannywanny Thu 21-Oct-21 16:04:02

I agree Namsnanny. Although we’re having a laugh about how daft it is I’m looking forward to see what’s going to happen next!

I had a pang of disappointment earlier when it dawned on me it’s Thursday and it won’t be on this evening. I really need to get out more.

Namsnanny Thu 21-Oct-21 16:25:19

I really need to get out more you and me both??

NotTooOld Thu 21-Oct-21 16:33:53

I'm confused as to whether Horror Nation Street is meant to be taken seriously or not? Are we meant to be laughing or is it serious stuff gone wrong? We should be told. (Yes, I need to ge out more as well.)

Aveline Thu 21-Oct-21 16:35:27

I suspect that the writers are expecting us to take it deadly seriously. They're throwing money at it. Four directors instead of the usual one and the special effects budget has grown!

NotTooOld Thu 21-Oct-21 16:40:47

Yes, I noticed there were four directors, Aveline. Perhaps that's the problem - too many cooks have spoiled the broth! The other thing is, it's not even Hallowe'en yet. Will it be Christmas by the end of October?

Namsnanny Thu 21-Oct-21 17:16:49

What is there left to make into a story line for the Christmas episode?
No babies to be born on Christmas day. Or at least we know of no one expecting at the mo.
Half the cast in hospital, prison, or possibly dead.
I'm intrigued to find out what they plan to do.

Aveline Thu 21-Oct-21 17:47:00

Well it's all making work for Archie Shuttleworth and Todd!

Maggiemaybe Thu 21-Oct-21 19:52:47

There’ll be plenty of work for tradesman near and far putting all this lot back together! Those insurance claims are going to be fun.

Aveline Thu 21-Oct-21 21:21:12

This thread is more entertaining than the programme!

Allsorts Thu 21-Oct-21 21:27:51

I couldn’t take it seriously it was a joke, is there anyone left walking or buildings habitable.

I’ve been pondering over this situation and I think Abi will collapse at the police station and be rushed to A&E. She will be reunited with Kevin after a check up including an ultrasound scan to check for internal injuries.

Can you see where I’m going with this? The doctor will arrive on the scene where they are both lying on adjoining trolleys holding hands. Abi will be reassured she has no serious injuries and the doctor will inform them both that their unborn baby has survived the trauma ?

pinkprincess Thu 21-Oct-21 23:47:41

I did not watch any of it.One look at Nina's moaning miserable face in it's overdone white make up just made me switch off.

It should solve the financial difficulties of Ed Bailey. He should make a killing repairing all the damage.
Oh but watch out Grace may up the anti and pressure him for more cash!
May be Aggie will crack under the pressure and bury her in cement? shock

That is a very good idea for a plot Grannynannywanny I hope the writers are watching wink
