Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Can't

Rosina Sat 20-Nov-21 22:33:27

I've looked at next week's TV programme and there is a suggestion that Roy, upset because he feels responsible about the gun, will be leaving to become a chef in South America. Yes, you read it here first (possibly) This 'spoiler' is so incredible that it made me rock with laughter this morning - I really didn't think the storylines could get any sillier. He'll depart, looking out of the back window of a taxi, of course.

BlueBelle Mon 22-Nov-21 21:03:40

Well Roys just been to the solicitors to hand over his home and cafe to nina so looks like he is going
Oh no Roy s the best one in Corrie
I don’t mind Daisys voice but Ray talks down his nose and has a dreadful voice

Doodledog Mon 22-Nov-21 21:37:56

I hope his plans gan agley, as Burns would have said if he'd watched Corrie.

It wouldn't be the same without Roy. Having said that, he must be retirement age - I remember when he was the dole investigator on Boys From The Blackstuff in the 80s ?

I think 'roy' will be back in a couple of months! David Nellson will be doing pantomime or plays on stage . All the actors in soaps are written out so they can do other things then they return to there soaps fresh.

Doodledog Mon 22-Nov-21 23:13:53

True! Wise words indeed. And if Roy's Rolls is left in the care of Nina he can slot right back in. Phew!

I can't imagine Roy as Buttons or Widow Twanky though . . .

BlueBelle Tue 23-Nov-21 05:29:03

Hmmmm but would he actually be leaving and giving the shop etc away! or just be left out of the scenes for a few weeks not so convinced as you * lemsip * sounds a bit final to me

Roy Cropper has always been a Corrie favourite of mine. It went against his values to lie about Abi having the gun in the first place but now he knows it is the same gun that killed Natasha and has seen how poor little Sam has become mute since his Mum's death, Roy is struggling with his conscience big time. I hope he won't leave. He is a strong character.

sodapop Tue 23-Nov-21 12:30:00

Exactly how I feel Sarnia he is a strong consistent character.

Calendargirl Wed 24-Nov-21 20:47:27

A minor detail, I realise, but does Roy even have a passport?

If not and he’s travelling tonight…..

confused

lemsip Wed 24-Nov-21 20:57:53

roy was cruel to do that to nina.

kelly has not had a wash or change of clothes for days,.....
ok I know, lol

BlueBelle Wed 24-Nov-21 20:58:43

Oh no Roy come back

Namsnanny Wed 24-Nov-21 21:00:39

What does it add to Corrie or storylines to axe Roy?

Does David Neilson want to leave?

Calendargirl Wed 24-Nov-21 21:00:56

I think, like Arnie, ‘he will return’ BlueBelle

Namsnanny Wed 24-Nov-21 21:03:25

It's not even very believable as a story line imo,

Now if he was leaving to help re build a steam train line plus engine in South America, maybe? grin

Namsnanny Wed 24-Nov-21 21:04:22

Or more likely, the Lake District, didnt him and Haley like it there?

Lucca Wed 24-Nov-21 21:34:36

Did he do a Covid test and fill in a locator form ?

Aveline Wed 24-Nov-21 22:02:43

That tramp helping Kelly is shaping up to be a replacement for Roy. He's a chef too. Convenient.

JenniferEccles Wed 24-Nov-21 23:02:39

I think Kelly must have used superglue to attach those false eyelashes! Sleeping rough yet they are still firmly in place.
Similar to grieving, car mechanic Abi with her perfectly manicured long nails!

Yes I thought Roy was cruel to leave Nina when she was obviously so upset.

He will be back I’m sure.

Clawdy Wed 24-Nov-21 23:12:22

Don't think Roy will be leaving to do panto, the last time he left to perform in a play it was Waiting For Godot, and got very good reviews, he's an excellent actor. But I suspect he will be back soon.

maddyone Wed 24-Nov-21 23:12:50

How do Coronation Street characters decide to go to the other side of the world, pack, buy a plane ticket, and leave in a taxi in about 24 hours? It’s the same every time, whoever leaves just ups and goes the next day. It takes me months to plan a holiday, and a week to pack. How do they do it? And as Lucca says, did he do a Covid test and fill in his passenger locator form?

Doodledog Wed 24-Nov-21 23:18:04

Similarly, when someone leaves forever (whether to leave a marriage or to move on to new adventures), all their possessions fit into one suitcase, or a bin liner if they are hard up.

I would need a juggernaut if I decided to pack up my troubles and head off into the sunset?

maddyone Wed 24-Nov-21 23:23:15

Haha Doodledog, I said that very thing to my husband tonight, as Roy left he’d got his entire wardrobe and personal possessions into one medium suitcase.

I would also need a juggernaut grin

Calendargirl Thu 25-Nov-21 06:55:47

Good thinking about Stu being a chef Aveline

He has a nasty cough though, hope it’s not Covid.

Nina will obviously take him in, nurse him back to health and have him as a partner in the cafe as a thank you for finding the clothes.

A future story line then beckons, about the estranged wife and family……

Kelly will end up back with Imran and Toyah, she will look on Stu as a father figure, she will probably be the one to trace his family….
