Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Daisy and Ray's voices just me use the mute button so annoying they can act for Toffee

vegansrock Sat 20-Nov-21 07:58:22

Lily is annoying and needs a new head. Surely they could have taken her over to the medical centre over the road to be checked out not call an ambulance, which everyone knows you have to wait hours for. Kelly might be on the streets but she still manages to have her eye make up and straightened hair somehow. Ray wouldn’t never suddenly change his plea to get a longer prison sentence, this means we’ll get Faye back on our screens yawn. Phil never seems to be at work. Max would never have meekly handed his phone over before taking a swing at David.

And another thing. Why do these Weathy County star players choose to drink alone in a deserted Rovers? Surely they would be in a more upmarket place, where they would get ‘papped’ by the media, not having a solitary pint of bitter served by an inebriated landlady in a backstreet hostelry?

Calendargirl Sat 20-Nov-21 07:09:43

Ray’s voice is a bit irritating, but prison has not spoiled his silver fox looks.

I find Daisy’s voice more irritating, she seems to over emphasise her words somehow. Very pretty though. Poor Daniel, I fear it will end in tears, as Daisy seems a mercenary type.

I thought Fiz’s boyfriend worked for the planning department at the council? He does seem too good to be true, kind, generous, good with the kids and Ty, must be skeletons in his cupboard somewhere.

I’d forgotten what a dreadful voice that Ray (not Roy) had

Aveline Fri 19-Nov-21 21:50:20

I saw that on a magazine front cover. He can't leave! It wouldn't be Corrie without him.

lemsip Fri 19-Nov-21 21:50:11

Lily was a naughty girl locking Sam o on the balcony but then he couldn't get he!p when she choked....punishment indeed

Doodledog Fri 19-Nov-21 21:48:17

Nooo, not Roy?

If he has to go, I really hope they find him a new wife, so he doesn't go into old age on his own.

HurdyGurdy Fri 19-Nov-21 21:29:40

I've seen clickbait headlines on Facebook pages like MSN, but those things are so crammed full of adverts that you get about 2 square inches of screen to read while the rest of the screen is taken up with adverts, so I don't ever read them. I've not got the patience.

But Roy would be sorely missed if this is true.

sodapop Fri 19-Nov-21 21:20:49

Anyone else read that possibly Roy is leaving Corrie ?

HurdyGurdy Fri 19-Nov-21 21:02:37

As well as Curtis being dodgy, does anyone else go "hmmmmmmm" at Fizz's new beau? Does HE work? I think there's something going on with him, and with Alina now gone, I wonder if Fizz and Tyrone will end up back together.

And after Lily choked and was de-choked by Roy, why did they call an ambulance? The danger had passed, the item had dislodged from her throat and she was talking. So why the ambulance, which is supposed to be for accidents, emergencies and where the patient isn't breathing or conscious, aren't they?

Why didn't David or Nick, or even Roy (does he still have the "woodie"?) just drive her to A&E to be checked over?

Doodledog Wed 17-Nov-21 21:20:01

I hope this storyline doesn't go on until Christmas, although I think it might. There are Crisis ads in the breaks and it would make a good Christmas episode to have her brought back into the fold.

I think it's a good way to raise awareness, but it's likely to be a harrowing few weeks.

Poor Kelly.

Calendargirl Wed 17-Nov-21 20:41:31

Oh dear.

Calendargirl Wed 17-Nov-21 19:47:20

Not many mourners at poor Johnny’s funeral, just the usual dozen or so. Both Carla and Jenny gave touching speeches.

Kelly will be on the road to ruin again if she isn’t careful.

DiscoDancer1975 Sat 13-Nov-21 20:07:24

Elless

Did anyone notice that the woman that went for a coffee with Tyrone was Rachel from Emmerdale and the other school Mum holding the party had already appeared before in Coronation St as a gangsters wife.

I thought it was Kelly’s mum at first.

Namsnanny Sat 13-Nov-21 18:57:48

I think quite a few actors have had small parts in Corrie then go on to larger roles. I remember Norris did

Grannynannywanny Sat 13-Nov-21 15:50:34

Well spotted Elless. I knew she looked familiar but I didn’t think of Emmerdale.

Why was Dev buying fruit and veg in Sainsbury’s? Surely he had enough choice in his own shop, part of the Alahan empire?

Namsnanny Sat 13-Nov-21 13:40:26

Oh yes Des Barnes, another one killed off that I liked!

Aveline Sat 13-Nov-21 13:17:27

I still love Dev. I transferred my affections to him when Des Barnes was murdered.

Doodledog Sat 13-Nov-21 12:21:59

So it's the actor who talks like that, not just the character?

I don't know if that's better or worse, really?

DiscoDancer1975 Sat 13-Nov-21 12:10:24

Dev definitely has a distinct way of talking. I knew without having to look, a couple of years ago, that the person talking to the woman on the other side of him, in Sainsbury’s....was him.

I was intrigued as to why he would be so far South, and buying fruit and veg. This was years ago, when he was slightly less annoying.

I still think the worst actor on there is James Bailey. I wish he’d go and be a muppet somewhere else!

Urmstongran Fri 12-Nov-21 21:18:54

True! I didn’t see that episode. Perhaps I wasn’t allowed to stay up. Bed for my sister & I on school nights was always when the music for the ‘Archers’ came on. 7:15pm?

Corrie used to be on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I wouldn’t know any of the characters now.

I read once (about all soaps) that the storylines are often depressing (with a little light humour along the way) so that we watch them, then think ‘thank god my life isn’t that bad’. I suppose a comfort in its way.
