Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Namsnanny Mon 25-Oct-21 20:12:25

Yes if he is the only one to pop his clogs they've certainly given him a good send off.
Someone said he was born 'round 'ere. I missed that.

Oh dear! Someone's put a photo of Johnny and a lit candle on the cobbles.
I hope there were no unexpected gas leaks caused by the flood or.......?

JaneJudge Mon 25-Oct-21 18:42:17

they could have let him die in his coat, he must have been cold

Doodledog Mon 25-Oct-21 17:56:09

If they wanted to get rid of Johnny, they could have let him die in prison offstage. It seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to if he's the only one to kark it after all that drama.

I wonder if they are wanting to rebuild the set with some new venues or houses? All those holes will need to be sorted out.

Franbern Mon 25-Oct-21 13:14:48

Must admit to finding this last weeks' episodes boring and silly to say the least. Think the actors worked their socks off to try to make some sense of it all, but feel that they knew it was on a very losing wicket. So much of it did not make any sense, so much of it was inaudible, so much of it was so ridiculous co-incidence.
Oh well, all that can be said that it has set up some new story lines for future weeks. Surprised it only involved the actual demise of one main character. Abi, is an amazing creature, after all that time in the sink hole etc. and her nails still beautifully manicured.
Have a horrible feeling that they are going to drag the Corey story out for a few more months, before he gets his come-uppance.

That gave me a good laugh Maggiemaybe Im not really surprised you couldn't see anything on your phone, it was bad enough on a 48'' screen telly!' (and in this case size is everythinggrin)

Maggiemaybe Sat 23-Oct-21 13:56:56

I didn’t see any initials, in fact I didn’t see a bag either, or even the two homeless guys. I watched the last episode on my phone in bed though and all I could see in some scenes was relentless gloom overlaid by the reflection of my own big conk.

I rely on you lot to let me know what’s happening.

Aveline Sat 23-Oct-21 13:29:36

I remember 'Harvey' when he was a porter in 'Casualty'! He's come a long way.

JaneJudge Sat 23-Oct-21 13:11:26

We laughed at the wet coat thing too. Here have my really heavy wet coat!

Every time Harvey comes on screen my husband says 'two pints of lager and a packet of crisps please' hmm yes, he is annoying

sodapop Sat 23-Oct-21 13:05:31

I didn't spot that either, thank you Franbern

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-Oct-21 13:02:21

Were there 2 homeless people then?

I could be mistaken about that part Namsnanny. I thought I saw 2 men huddled together.

The funniest part of the night for me was when Jenny and Johnny were standing chest deep in freezing water and Johnny removed his sodden wet jacket and put it round Jenny.

Namsnanny Sat 23-Oct-21 12:58:19

I'm getting lots of adverts for bags and homeless charities now!

Namsnanny Sat 23-Oct-21 12:57:31

Aveline

It'll be Corey's missing bag which contained his bloodstained clothes. He'll be in jail asap but the writers will string it out!

In a way I hope they do, because the actor who plays Corey is doing a good job. For that matter so is the actor playing Harvey (must look up their names).
For my taste though, no one beats Pat Phelan. What happened to that actor? I really thought he'd turn up all over the TV. Shame.

Namsnanny Sat 23-Oct-21 12:52:13

I was concentrating on the sleeping man's face...
Me too Gnw It was too gloomy to see well. But I didnt recognise who it was either.
Were there 2 homeless people then?
So, to summarise, (call me Miss Marplegrin)....
We have a tall person dressed as a ghost, 2 homeless people, a bag belonging to Corey and a missing incriminating note by Abi?
Plenty to speculate on 'till the next episode.
I need to get better glasses in readiness as well!

JaneJudge... the man had a bobble hat on not a policeman's helmet!!!?
But dont give up on the wine, it'll all go down hill soon and you will need a pick me up. In fact I'll join you!

BlueBelle...I usually blame the fact that I knit and watch for missing things.
But not this time.
In truth they've made it very hard to make anything out with the darkness and rain.

Aveline Sat 23-Oct-21 12:47:52

JaneJudge Sat 23-Oct-21 12:31:42

well I must have had a little too much wine as I saw the people but thought they were police men grin

BlueBelle Sat 23-Oct-21 12:29:52

No I didn’t see that either sometimes I wonder where I go

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-Oct-21 12:29:06

I don’t know if it’s my eyesight and hearing and possibly observation skills that are lacking. But I’ve found I’ve struggled this week to catch some of what’s been said. And it’s so dark and gloomy I’m missing things.

Having said that, I did notice the initials on the bag but I didn’t make any connection with Harvey. I was concentrating on the sleeping man’s face wondering if he was going to be someone from the past.

nadateturbe Sat 23-Oct-21 12:25:37

Well spotted Grannynannywanny.

Doodledog Sat 23-Oct-21 11:20:49

Me neither. I never miss an episode, but I only half watch any of them grin

maddyone Sat 23-Oct-21 11:19:14

Oooh, that didn’t register with me either Franbern and Grannynannywanny. Wow, I hope Corey gets his comeuppance now.

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-Oct-21 11:02:52

Ah thank you Franbern. That didn’t register with me at all.

Franbern Sat 23-Oct-21 11:00:09

The sports bag, that Corey threw into the river, with the clothes he was wearing when he killed Seb.

Grannynannywanny Sat 23-Oct-21 10:57:26

What was going on right at the end of last night’s episode when Abi went in to the kitchen to retrieve the now missing letter to Kevin?

When she came back out into the lane there were what appeared to be 2 homeless men sleeping there who were oblivious to the chaos. I can’t remember the details now but the camera lingered on initials on the man’s bag. Or did I nod off and dream up that part??

Aveline Sat 23-Oct-21 10:06:07

Ooh yes. Ray Crosbie. I'd forgotten about him. Is he not in jail though?
Wish they'd bring back Vic Reeves. He'd be a laugh.

nadateturbe Sat 23-Oct-21 09:37:40

I think it has been (unintentionally) the funniest week on Corrie since the days of John Stape.
Agree HurdyGurdy. I did actually laugh at a lot of it.
