I’m inclined to agree. I think it might be a similar storyline that ran in Emmerdale a couple of years ago. The character Aaron was an aggressive thug who was constantly in trouble and full of anger. It eventually came to light that he was suppressing his sexuality.

Well, my guess about Jacob was right. Amy might just as well have admitted it in the first place. She’ll have to introduce him to the family eventually.

I was just about to yell at the tv “No, don’t let little Harry out in the back garden with his basket ball, he’ll fall down the 40 feet deep sinkhole! Thankfully Shona and David made a passing reference to say that it had been filled in. Phew. They must have done it when they were rebuilding half the street that had collapsed into the sewerage system. And I must have been putting the kettle on and missed it ?

Gransnetters worked it out then. Lydia is the one giving the Barlows such grief. I suppose her excuse will be that Adam is her son's father.

The Sink Hole - what sort of local authority would allow an incredibly dangerous hole to remain in the back garden of a house and expect the householder to fill it in? Given that half the street seemed to be collapsing into the sewers, it's amazing that this has all been sorted out without the evacuation of houses....or even a sole workman with some Polyfilla.

When is dopey Daniel going to stop apologising to Max? Doing house calls to apologise to Max who broke into his flat and trashed it. This storyline is irritating me so much I’m almost wishing he pushed him a bit harder?

And how will they cope with all these unsolved crimes now PC Plod Craig is off the scene?

Looking ahead to when Emma leaves, I wonder if she will go to Australia as I think that is where her mum, Fiona Middleton, lives?

Will leave it nice and open if, as so many others do, she decides to return if future work doesn’t materialise.

How many story lines have involved the villain of the piece getting hold of someone’s keys? Just recently - Hope, Daniel and now Lydia. The scriptwriters need to come up with something more original.

Why is there all these vindictive people on there now, a deranged woman in Coronation Street, a serial killer in Emmerdale, always a distaster, prison is becoming just part of everyday life, good news is, no one ever serves more than a couple of month's for whatever heinous crime, unless they are murdered first. I’m sick of dopey Daniel, he doesn’t know his elbow from his foot.
Where are the good writers. Bring back a family show with humour in to lighten the load.

The soaps really do depict our police as out and out useless do they not? Nice but..... useless. E is even worse. Mina(?) beggars belief.

I sort of always expected Lydia’s child would be Adams if that happens that would put the cat amongst the pigeons Iwish Daisy and Daniel would hurry up and get back together it’s going on a bit

and what about sarah and adam's apartmrnt, it's huge yet he has a tiny little office which anyone requiring legal advice would not even enter.....sarah and adam story last night was so pathetic....sarah not a good actress. my op.

I’m getting cheesed off with how flirtatious Sarah is towards Adam - always widening those big eyes and calling him “my darling” and leading him into the bedroom. It’s a bit much. Mind you, I think she’ll change her tune when she finds out that Adam is the father of Lydia’s son.

I used to really dislike Daisy, but I’m warming to her, not sure Daisy and Daniel are match made in heaven though.
Sarah is awful, really awful, Lydia is vile, I wish they would lock up Craig, Faye and Emma and throw away the key. Audrey is getting on my nerves.
But I do like David and Shona, love Nana, and am really enjoying Jenny at the moment.
Oh forgot, the Nina Asha storyline is really unrealistic.

What I do find unrealistic is that some characters disappear for months, without mention. Toyah has vanished altogether, along with the small, smiling Elsie, and it seems that the scriptwriters give each group a huge storyline that strings out for weeks, and then the actors vanish, never to be seen for months, and are not even mentioned.

Quite agree Rosina. I’ve always found that strange. I guess the characters are given an extended holiday to make way for other storylines to take precedence, but as you can say, the absence can last for weeks/months.

They can't keep that huge cast going all the time.
Sarah and Adam's flat is very odd. So gloomy and depressing. I agree about the lawyer's tiny grubby office. Also Roy's Rolls should have a public health inspection.

I have to agree about Sarah, she's very annoying, my dah-ling.(Nice clothes though). And that flat is horrible. Wherever does she keep poor little Harry - and does her daughter Bethany never visit?
As for Daniel, it's obvious he's not going to last long in teaching. His dad, if you remember, left teaching and became a newspaper editor.

I have been thinking the same about Roy's Rolls or years.
He has been serving food in the same greasy looking apron and cardigan with his hair uncovered and hanging over his eyes for years. Also Nina when she handled food with those silly lace gloves and seemed never to change them.Her clipped voice is very irritating.

Re Roy’s Rolls.

I have commented on this previously, but it never fails to amaze me that when a crisis occurs, i.e. on a weekly basis and Roy or whoever is serving has to dash off, any random customer is asked to hold the fort.

They quickly step behind the counter, still in their overcoat, and immediately start to butter some bread, never pausing to wash their hands or carry out any other measure of hygiene.

But then it never ceases to puzzle me how people pop in for a ‘brew’ when they live next door or thereabouts, and might just as well put the kettle on at home and save a bit of money.

I too find Sarah so sugary that I feel yucky I saw Lydia take the keys and get in the flat the second time but how did she get in the flat the first time ?? She’s yucky too
I quite like Daisy I think she plays the part well I hope she does end up with the merry widower he s had quite a few lovers both before and after his wife so he’s definitely like his father in more ways than one I think Max is a good actor, natural and not wooden like some of them I always had a soft spot for Peter but don’t see much of him since his liver op
