Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Did Lydia use Gail’s keys? If so, can’t recall how she got hold of them, unless Gail left them lying about and Lydia got copies done.

Yes, Daisy has had a personality makeover. Much more likeable now. We are supposed to have forgotten how she was involved in that pyramid selling scheme that Sean and Gemma were involved in, and Daisy was quite ruthless in her dealings with the reps who couldn’t sell the stuff.

Thinking about Sean, what happened to the storyline about his son who was supposed to be coming to live with him? The one he fathered with Violet. Did the son decide to stay with his mum in the end? If so, thank goodness, as that was another rubbishy theme going nowhere.

Yes, Sarah went out and left them lying on her desk. Lydia used them and also had a spare set cut. So we can expect more skulking around from Lydia. I wish she would just get to the point and tell Adam he’s the father of her child.

Calendargirl Mon 14-Feb-22 21:00:17

It’s been mentioned before, but does Sarah ever see little Harry?

She’s either strutting round the factory in peculiar outfits, flirting or falling out with Adam, or getting drunk in the Rovers.

Very odd.

Why is Max acting so weird? I wonder if he saw something happen to Amy and he has it on film. I trust it isn't Daniel. Surely their hate relationship can't keep going.

Maggiemaybe Tue 15-Feb-22 23:48:39

I’m wondering who’s looking after Lydia’s child while she’s skulking around and creating mayhem. Does he actually exist? Have we seen him?

Mind you, much more of Sarah’s simpering, eyelid batting and love you more, my darling nonsense and I’ll be offering to hold Lydia’s coat while she deals with the pair of them.

vegansrock Wed 16-Feb-22 06:23:45

I think it was Max who spiked Amy’s drink thinking it was Summer’s.

Calendargirl Wed 16-Feb-22 07:11:11

No, Max spiked the drink thinking that Daniel would be drinking it. Remember the package he was waiting for? Did it contain the GHB ( or whatever it was)?

I ought to re-watch it to see if Amy picked up the wrong drink …..

But Max definitely is out for Daniel.

BTW, did you realise that in real life, Jacob and Lydia are brother and sister?

Charleygirl5 Wed 16-Feb-22 07:36:51

I agree with Calendargirl Max is not finished with Daniel yet.

Calendargirl Wed 16-Feb-22 20:08:51

Is it just me, but Steve McDonald now rivals the Baileys as worst actor in a soap, his gurning and OTT facial expressions and gestures are a pain to watch.

Years ago he was a good cast member, but now….

lemsip Wed 16-Feb-22 20:54:11

I agree, max is the culprit re the spiked drink

Doodledog Wed 16-Feb-22 20:57:34

Yes, he's gone from being a cute kid to a little monster. It happened when they changed his head . . .

Aveline Wed 16-Feb-22 21:17:07

I still like Steve! I think the writers have mixed up U3A with OU.

Charleygirl5 Wed 16-Feb-22 22:19:33

I have never liked Steve- I just do not think he can act but as we know he is not alone in that street.

NotTooOld Wed 16-Feb-22 22:25:58

Doodlebug - 'it happened when they changed his head'. That made me laugh. grin
Aveline - yes, they meant OU, didn't they? Tim's mum is now training to be a doctor. I didn't understand what all that was about tonight, couldn't hear a lot of it. Were they mumbling?
Charleygirl - Steve is getting very hammy. He used to be an ok actor but he's definitely gone off.

Tim’s mum is now training to be a doctor

I know the NHS is short staffed, but even so…..

vegansrock Thu 17-Feb-22 07:21:00

Is Tim’s mum competing for the most annoying character award? I know there’s quite stiff competition, but I’ll be glad when Sally throws her out.

Grannynannywanny Thu 17-Feb-22 07:51:58

Anyone remember Tim’s mum Paula Wilcox in the 70s sitcom Man About the House?

Yes, groundbreaking stuff.

Single chap shares flat with two single girls.

And Richard O’ Sullivan, who played the chap, is now in an actors retirement home, assuming he is still alive!

Tim is milking this for all it's worth, ringing his little bell for the slightest thing. I sense a clash between Sally and Elaine on the cards. Daniel put his glass right next to Amy's. The glasses were identical and both had clear liquid in them, so I agree with others who think Max has spiked Daniel's drink but Amy has picked it up by mistake. Be interesting to see how he manages not to be excluded if this comes out. I read somewhere that Abi and Imran's one-night stand isn't over yet!

They do seem to be able to fast-track qualifications in Corrie. Daniel got an MA and became a qualified teacher in about 6 months for both.

Grannynannywanny Thu 17-Feb-22 09:38:26

And PC Plod, our Craig, was out on the beat within weeks of deciding to be a cop and able to arrive within minutes at every crime ?

Kate1949 Thu 17-Feb-22 10:05:53

He's still alive Calendargirl. I was quite a fan of Richard back in the day. Man About The House was my favourite programme. I still watch the repeats when they are on. Those fashions! I met Richard once. He was delightful. Meghan Markle visited his care home a while back and it showed her on the news being introduced to Richard. She wouldn't have a clue who he ws obviously which I found rather sad. He was so lovely and full of life back in the 70s.
Sorry. Back to Coronation Street!
