Anyone remember Tim’s mum Paula Wilcox in the 70s sitcom Man About the House?
Yes, and I think she was also in the lovers with Richard Beckinsale
Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Thanks Shinamae for clearing my brain. I think I had Richard O’Sullivan and Richard Beckinsale merged into the same person.
I think Amy is a very good little actress and I think she played a good part last night I saw a clip of her as a 7 year old I can’t remember her or what his name ( peters lad) when they were so little although I ve watched for donkey years
I agree about Steve I ve thought he’s a pretty poor actor for a long time he measures up with Dev and Baileys for woodenest actor of the year award
Hi just wondering where I have seen Jacobs grandmother apart from coronation street .
she's jacqueline leonard....was in eastenders as 'lorraine wicks' in late 1990s also peak practice
Dev, to me, has always been a waste of space because he certainly cannot act.
The youngsters, on the whole, are good actors, especially Amy.
These older ones don't have to act. They've become their Corrie personalities so don't have to actually act.
It's certainly true for me that the younger ones are stealing the show but..... Roy is the exception. Great guy.
Is Linda staying at an hotel? Presumably she is as that tiny house has Bernie, Gemma, Chesney, and five children to accomodate. It has a bathroom, and 'in the beginning' the houses were two up two down with an off shoot for a kitchen; where do they all fit in?
Elaine will be a consultant in no time. Does she have any qualifications in order to be accepted on a medical degree?
I think she just doing an OU course isn't she?
What's happened to Fizz and Phil? Is that all over?

They said it was U3A, which is not the same thing at all, but it looks more like an OU course. They don't insist on A levels like other universities, but suggest that people without a background in the subjects take access modules before starting.
It's more likely to be one of the free online courses such as Futurelearn that are for information only (ie no essays or exams) and are open to anyone.
Is anyone living a relatively happy life on the cobbles just now? There is a lot of trauma and subterfuge going on, one way and another.
Aveline you're so right about the older actors not doing much in the way of acting. 'Dev' once came into a coffee shop where I worked and he was EXACTLY the same as his character.

Oh no, I’m sure they will return, along with the Abi/Imran baby fiasco, the problems at Speed Dahl, the Emma/Faye/Craig /dead Ted storyline…..

I can imagine that. I don't believe for minute that the writers or directors will want him to 'act' and talk as he does.
It's very obvious that the episodes being screened now were shot in lockdown, isn't it? They only ever seem to have half a cast 'in the office' at a time.
and where's kevin, abbie and tyrone? hate the adam sarah saga..so ridiculous..

An OU course to be a doctor? Does Elaine have the necessary qualifications, 'A' level wise, to be accepted on such a course? At her age she would need to do something like an Access course at the very least before embarking on a medical degree.
I think Tim was just easily impressed on hearing the word 'university'. U3A is certainly not a university. It's a lovely organisation that organises groups of like minded older people to get together and do a huge range of different activities.
Well, ever since David said to Shonna,
"Thank goodness that there pot hole is filled in..."
Or something akin to it, Ive had to lie down with a cold flannel on my head and give CS a miss.
It was just too much. Such a stupid way to pass it off!
Also, think of all the interesting story lines that could have stemmed from it. Work men to visit the Rovers, liaisons, and or intrigue with members of the street, affairs, business or crime opportunities. The list is endless.
But they missed every chance to cheer the street up with some new faces.
Oh well. At least when I started watching it again it was easy to catch up with!
Re Sarah's flat, yes so dark and confusing.
Underworld is odd too. they seem to have an orientation problem, and always end up walking around a central pillar, going nowhere.
I can never work out where they are or where they're going.
No doubt I'll get used to it.
Will this be the end of the Daniel/Max feud? Along with David they have agreed to keep quiet about the GHB incident but Daniel's final comment about his family disowning him if they found out he knew who had spiked Amy's drink may give Max an idea to cause more trouble for Daniel. I wouldn't trust Max as far as I could throw him. I don't think Sally is likely to keep quiet about Abi's revelation about cheating either.
oh, amy and jacob with that posh picnic basket........ in 'weatherfield?'
and the 'sarah.' is so unbelievable...
Completely fed up with the Adam/Sarah/Lydia saga. I enjoyed Bernie's summing up of Dev's love life saying that because he goes after so many different women he must have a sticker book. Has Abi finally worn away Kevin's patience?
The Adam/Sarah/Lydia story is ridiculous. I wish they'd get on with it and let it all blow up, so it can be put out of its misery.
Dev is a bit of a comedy character. I've long thought he must have incriminating negatives or something to have survived so many culls and still be in there despite his atrocious acting.
Abi really does lurch from crisis to crisis, doesn't she? I don't think there's been a calm period for her, where she just lived her life without drugs, prison, adultery or child-related tragedy since she joined the cast. Kevin's been through the mill too, but he's been there for over 30 years, so at least it's been spread out and he's had a few contented years amongst the gloom.
How does Speed Dahl keep going? Did Yasmeen sack her grandchildren, as it seems to be just her and Stu now?
The wine storyline is another daft one. The grand wine tasting event, Tracy, Steve and Mary, really? Proper wine conisseurs. ( I have probably spelt that wrongly).
