Is anyone else enjoying this? I`ve never really been a Martin Clunes fan, but after watching the first Manhunt series I changed my mind, he`s a fine actor. I`m now watching, and loving, the present series, which ends tonight.

How did I miss this? I thought it was a repeat of the first series, so I didn't bother watching it, now I realise it's a new one altogether. Must catch up with it on ITV Player.

I thought the first series was very good, although terribly sad being a reconstruction of actual events, which took place where I lived at the time of the murders. Marin Clunes was very good in the role of the detective, that I do remember.

This was a well acted and produced drama and MC was excellent. It was good at showing the tedious, boring hours and hours involved in a police operation, it is not all zoom and crash as some dramas portray it. So sorry for your trauma silverlining, what a horror for your family, and I think it is accepted that there were many more victims.

So true. I worked in police admin for many years and I've worked on all too many murder investigations. Usually crime programmes are so unrealistic, although maybe good entertainment, but this one was very true to life.

Excellent series, I missed series One so watched all episodes in an afternoon before watching series Two. I’m saved all episodes to watch in one go this afternoon and found pasts very exciting despite knowing that the man got caught. I thought Martin Clunes was very good as the chief detective. I do wonder how close to reality it was and will enjoy watching the follow up documentary to see,

We watched it at the weekend. Like others have said I was never a MC fan till these two Manhunt series except as Mr Chips. I feel he has done a great service to the real Colin Sutton.

What an awful reign of terror. I hope the victims and their families haven't felt this drama inappropriate in any way. Terrible how it took so long and all the mistakes.
It was a good drama but terrible that it was a true story.

We watched both and thought Matin Clunes was brilliant in them and should get an award for the quality of his acting . The whole thing seemed expertly done . We particularly liked the very natural scenes at home with his wife.

Nice too to see Jack Shepherd in a cameo as Sutton senior. I shouldn't have been shocked at old he looked - he's going on 81 but that's the thing about TV now. Old series on ITV3 and Britbox where you can watch Wycliffe which was first broadcast in 1993.

I got confused last night searching for it on catchup with there being two series. Would it ruin it if I watched the documentary first? I wasn’t sure if I should watch the latest series as I’m on my own at the moment. It’s been recommended several times now so I must watch it.
