On another thread about hunky stars I noticed a lot of people quite like RF (understatement, wasn't it pistols at dawn for some? grin).

So for those who might be hungering for another dose of his beautiful blue eyes, this program is on Drama at 10pm tonight
It might be on catch up if you miss it.
Enjoy grin

I first fell for the lovely Rufus in a sci fi film called Dark City in 1998 it's a real mind bender and I was so impressed with him-in every way! My enthusiasm was strengthened when I watched Man in the High Castle on Prime, ......it's the uniform thing again,

Hmm.. my DH also mutters "I suppose if you like that sort of thing'".......when I get all enthusiastic about him!

Isnt he story49? He's here because he's beef(y) and has a beard. smile

Gabriella56 is that film a fantasy about Nazis?
I'll stop being lazy and look it up later on.blush

Wasn't Rufus Sewell in some historical serial about 20 years ago? Or was it something like a Thomas Hardy book?

What a wonderful Lord Melbourne he was in 'Victoria' a few years ago.

I remember the number of posters on GN some time ago lusting after RS and couldn't see the attraction. But then I saw ZEN and oh my! ??

I’ve just downloaded the first two episodes of ZEN to watch later.
Thanks for the tip off Namsnanny.

Have to agree MOnica. Even the beautiful Terence Stamp went down hill.

Bazza Sun 21-Nov-21 17:31:19

I’ll stick with George Clooney so Rufus is all yours.

If we’re talking about uniforms - James Norton in a figure hugging uniform in War and Peace.

I just couldn't get into Man in the High Castle, but DH and DD loved it!

I love his smokey eyes too - yes I first saw him in an old Tess of the D'Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy - how long ago?
However going back in time the man I fell in love with when I was about 9 was the late Alan Badel playing Mr Darcy in P & P! Anyone remember him? I'm 75 now

First saw Rufus Sewellwhen he was not long out of drama school when he appeared at the Watermill Theatre at Bagnor, near Newbury.

It was a dramatisation of a French novel and was pretty dire.

suelld I am also 75 and I've never forgotten the gorgeous Alan Badel as Mr Darcy! The story my mother heard from her doctor was that Alan Badel and his fairly new wife came to see him because the wife was feeling so ill. He had to explain to them that she was pregnant and explain how it had happened because they were very innocent. The baby grew up to be the lovely Sarah Badel.

Deeda & suelld I've just spent a good half an hour searching for Alan Badel on line to see who you are talking about. His voice seemed to rate highly with some.
Then, I ended up wasting spending even more time reading about his daughter (you mentioned) Sarah, and found she played Katherine opposite John Cleese as Petruchio in Taming of a Shrew for TV.
I found it hard to imagine John Cleese in this role.
Ah well back to cleaning the Christmas decorations before hanging them?
