The building they use as the Questura Di Roma is across the road from my favourite Roman market. Everytime I visited the market, I hoped the gorgeous Zen, would come down the steps! Sigh....

I enjoyed Zen the first time round, although not as good as Montalbano. I wish the BBC had tried filming Donna Leon's Guido Brunetti books. I thought Trevor Eve and his lovely wife would have been perfect casting but, sadly, they are too old now.

Deeda, I always pictured Guido as a balding, chunky Italian male!.

The books are good too. I have them all on my kindle and read them, apart from the last which I'm saving for a rainy day. Not sure why.

He was quite a looker when he was young and new, but now just looks ordinary.
