Does anyone have Disney Plus? I don't have it, so do you know how this will be shown? It's in 3 parts of 2 hours, Thurs, Fri and Sat but will it be available after that on CatchUp? I want to know if I will have to sit at my daughter's house three nights running for 6 hours ...... or can I watch it later on?

We haven't got that channel and I'm desperate to watch it! I'll have to investigate.

No Beatles fans out there? I thought you'd all be so excited to see this!

Does anyone have Disney Plus?

An avid Beatles fan here - just two of us then! I'm known as The Beatles lady around here grin I've been on local radio a few times talking about my Beatles exploits and memories. I will get this documentary somehow.

I don't have Disney+ but I shall find some way to watch it The Beatles where a major part of my life in the 60's I spent many an evening in The Cavern when they where on the Bill me & friends from work would go as soon as we finished work if the Beatles weren't on we danced away to other groups who where out of Liverpool at the same time great memories.

I saw The Beatles at the Finsbury Empire in around 1964. You couldn’t hear anything fir the screaming.
Just read about the Beatles on Disney, which I don’t have. Apparently its taken years to go through all the old film and I would watch if I could. .

Well release of this film is a really big event with new footage never seen before and includes the rooftop concert. The quality of the footage is amazing apparently and looks like it was filmed yesterday. It shows the Beatles were not just at each other's throats during those last days but were enjoying working together.

This may help.

Thanks Jaxjacky and I would happily subscribe short term but don't have a Smart TV so Disney Plus is not available to me. Anyone who has a Smart TV can do this, how I envy them.

I need to know whether this will be available AFTER this weekend, so I don't have to watch it live at daughter's house three nights running.

Looking forward to watching it, it starts 25th November i believe.

On Amazon at the moment. Fire stick is about £22 I have just bought another one for upstairs older TV,. My lounge TV is a Smart TV but too old now for Disney +
I did a deal with my daughter, she can use my Netflix and I get to use her Disney + which has about 5 other services including Marvel, Pixel and Star.
See if a member of your family has Disney+ and possibly use even for a few weeks.
Just a thought.

Neither do I! I've just watched the trailer, they look and sound just as great as I remember them, somehow all that doesn't seem fifty years ago. Paul looks kind of modern with the bushy beard. I too shall have to find some way of watching it.

Visgirl It can't be on Amazon as it is just being released on Disney Plus 25th/26th/27th Nov. It hasn't been released before. And as I said, I don't have a Smart TV so can't access Disney Plus otherwise I would be happy to take out a free subscription or share one.

Visgir1 Sat 20-Nov-21 15:33:23

Sorry if I confused you. I suggested making your TV via Fire stick into a Smart TV, and see if someone can load Disney + onto it for you. Ask the family see if they have it and even for a short while you can watch it.

Do you have a tablet? You can watch on that, or even on your phone

Chestnut Sat 20-Nov-21 15:41:52

Oh maybe that would work. I've never used a Firestick. Will check it out, thanks. It would be the height of luxury watching it at home! I doubt my daughter would want to watch all six hours although she does like the Beatles.

Summerlove Sat 20-Nov-21 15:42:16

chestnut it should stay on Disney+ for ages afterward, just like all other new shows

Summerlove Sat 20-Nov-21 15:42:55

I’ll also recommend a fire stick
They are excellent value for money

Chestnut Sat 20-Nov-21 15:45:02

Summerlove - watch it on a tablet or phone, never!! It would not do it justice. This was originally supposed to be released at the cinema and I was REALLY looking forward to seeing it on the big screen with cinema sound and pictures. Then Peter Jackson did a deal with Disney and I can't tell you how disappointed I was.

I’ve just watched a video of how to install Disney + through a fire stick.
Just search How to watch Disney+ through a fire stick

I meant to add I couldn’t link the video for you to see on here.

I've bought an Amazon Fire Stick 4K with Alexa Control. This is all new to me so just got to try it out. I think it will work with my Panasonic 10 year old non-smart TV.

Well I managed to log into Disney+ and have started watching The Beatles: Get Back. It's six hours so you have to relax, sit back and get into the vibe, but it is absolutely amazing. You are there with them in the studio at Twickenham Jan 1969 watching the song writing process unfold. To see 'The Long and Winding Road' created is quite something. Spending so much time as a fly on the wall you see the real people, the rapport between them, the joking around and also the disagreements. John and Paul looking into each others faces as they play new tunes. Paul trying to instil some enthusiasm into the others when they started flagging. John may have been the 'leader' in the earlier days, but Paul was definitely the driving force at this stage. John did not seem to be engaging in the process very much, but I guess his mind was on the figure swathed in black and humped on the chair next to him. Yoko was there throughout, an uncomfortable distraction day after day. Well I've only watched 2 hours so far and am completely hooked. When I say you are there with them I mean it, you are in the studio with them. I'd describe it as an experience.
