Hachi: A Dog’s Tale - Netflix

This was one of my very favourite films.

It’s on Amazon Prime.
It’s a lovely film MayBee

It was so refreshing to see a film about older people which was totally free of ageism and stereotypes
(and no one dies! Not even Dorothy the dog)

I like the look of Ruth and Alex. Is it only on Netflix ( which I don’t have)? I might try to get the dvd. I could listen to Morgan Freeman’s voice all day!

It's quite hard for directors to get the balance right between schmaltz and sincerity.

Can I recommend a film with a dog in it (SPOILER) that doesn’t die?
It’s called ‘Ruth & Alex’ and stars Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman
It’s very enjoyable

I loved the film but I also thought it was a shame they couldn't have filmed the actual true story iykwim

I absolutely loved that film too. What a gorgeous dog, and Richard Gere's not bad either.

And based on a true story, too.

I watched it with my SIL and we were both crying at the end. Lovely film.
