That was painful to watch. We suspected it wouldn’t be a happy ending but that was cruel to do that to Phil. His singing was cruel as well but that’s another story!

Bernie looked like she was giving him the eye. Maybe Phil will have a happy ending after all.

Yes, poor Phil - and what a weird wedding. Where were all the guests? Not even Chesney was there, was he? Gemma turned up but who was looking after the quads? Not Bernie.

The Toyah storyline is getting ridiculous. Spider is a terrible actor. He makes me cringe and, as someone else said, I can't bear to watch him.

Yes, but he was ‘the weirdo’, as climate change wasn’t as big a deal for many people then, so it wasn’t so noticeable.

The episode last night was so cringy. I expected more from the storyline and the acting. Total rubbish.

The wedding was ridiculous - huge venue and reception for half a dozen people. Did they have a seating plan? As for Phil and the karioke …..

No need for a seating plan they could all have fitted round one table. Thinking about that wedding - it was complete unbelievable tosh - an insult to viewers. We expect much better from Corrie (or do we? )

We do. Venue made a nice change from Weatherfield's only hotel - Debbie's one. I expect the honeymoon would have been there though!

The reception could have fitted round a couple of tables

Gemma and Sean could have been behind the bar, no need to pay extra staff.

This episode is cringey in the extreme. What with the tuneless singers and poor Phil, and Sally and Tim in the hot tub, I'm peering from behind a cushion.

When did Carla take over as boss at Underworld again? She left it ages ago. I thought there was a staff buy out and Sarah Lou was manager. Suddenly she's demoted to Carla's assistant. What's going on?!

Carla is supposed to be a very shrewd business woman - is she really likely to snub an excellent offer in these difficult times just because she feels petty? Not likely.

Surely by the time Ronnie has got his plot of land bought and plans for the houses passed, Ed will have finished mending Steve’s roof?
