New thread required, old one full.

I'd have throttled her by now grin.

Poor Phil. I thought he was a villain at one point, but he seems to be genuine, and he'll be so hurt.

Calendargirl Fri 08-Jul-22 20:59:10

And just when it all seems happy ending for Ty and Fizz….

Alina will return plus Tyrone’s baby!!!

Charleygirl5 Fri 08-Jul-22 21:22:00

I did not enjoy tonight's episode. Fiz should have left Phill at the alter rather than actually marrying him as she obviously had doubts.

maddyone Fri 08-Jul-22 21:58:06

Agree Charleygirl.

Grannynannywanny Fri 08-Jul-22 22:12:40

That was painful to watch. We suspected it wouldn’t be a happy ending but that was cruel to do that to Phil. His singing was cruel as well but that’s another story!

Bernie looked like she was giving him the eye. Maybe Phil will have a happy ending after all.

I suspect you’re right Calendargirl and Alina will turn up soon with a baby Tyrone. Thank goodness they have such a big house and will be able to put them up.

NotTooOld Fri 08-Jul-22 22:32:17

Yes, poor Phil - and what a weird wedding. Where were all the guests? Not even Chesney was there, was he? Gemma turned up but who was looking after the quads? Not Bernie.

The Toyah storyline is getting ridiculous. Spider is a terrible actor. He makes me cringe and, as someone else said, I can't bear to watch him.

What's going to happen about Steve's roof, I wonder? Will Tracey shin up the ladder and fix it herself. I think Steve and Amy's boyfriend (can't remember his name) are going to make a good comedy pair.

Well done, Maureen Lipman. Best actor of the lot. She makes most of the rest look like amateurs.

Rosina Fri 08-Jul-22 22:37:43

Spider is painful to watch - he pulls strange faces. I can just about remember his being in the series years ago - did he act in just the same way?

Doodledog Fri 08-Jul-22 23:23:44

Yes, but he was ‘the weirdo’, as climate change wasn’t as big a deal for many people then, so it wasn’t so noticeable.

BlueBelle Sat 09-Jul-22 05:52:25

He’s a really poor actor isn’t he (spider) he just reads the lines
I ve seen better in kids school plays
I thought the wedding was rather silly she would not have waited till the end she would either have jilted him at the altar or staggered on for a while and then left ….Cringy
Someone is going to be injured in the roof thingy
I like a Jacob hope it’s not him ?
Chesney seems to have disappear completely he’s obviously taken the quads on holiday all by himself

Calendargirl Sat 09-Jul-22 07:05:42

Fizz said that Chesney ‘had the lurgy’ which was why she asked Tyrone to come, to make the numbers up.

Who was actually there?

Fizz, Phill, Hope, Ruby, Mimi, Evelyn, Tyrone, Maria, Sally, Beth, Sean, Bernie, Gemma, the other chap who was best man…

Anyone else?

So will the marriage be annulled, or will they have to divorce?

I suspect Alina and mini Ty are already on the plane….

Aveline Sat 09-Jul-22 08:47:00

Calendargirl ???

CatsCatsCats Sat 09-Jul-22 09:10:17

The episode last night was so cringy. I expected more from the storyline and the acting. Total rubbish.

vegansrock Sat 09-Jul-22 10:21:42

The wedding was ridiculous - huge venue and reception for half a dozen people. Did they have a seating plan? As for Phil and the karioke …..

vegansrock Sun 10-Jul-22 05:19:46

No need for a seating plan they could all have fitted round one table. Thinking about that wedding - it was complete unbelievable tosh - an insult to viewers. We expect much better from Corrie (or do we? )

Aveline Sun 10-Jul-22 07:16:50

We do. Venue made a nice change from Weatherfield's only hotel - Debbie's one. I expect the honeymoon would have been there though!

Calendargirl Sun 10-Jul-22 08:00:31

The reception could have fitted round a couple of tables
in the Rovers.

Gemma and Sean could have been behind the bar, no need to pay extra staff.

Mimi and Evelyn could have been the musical interlude, accompanied by Phill of course.

Doodledog Mon 11-Jul-22 20:28:15

Oh dear?

This episode is cringey in the extreme. What with the tuneless singers and poor Phil, and Sally and Tim in the hot tub, I'm peering from behind a cushion.

Aveline Mon 11-Jul-22 21:37:24

When did Carla take over as boss at Underworld again? She left it ages ago. I thought there was a staff buy out and Sarah Lou was manager. Suddenly she's demoted to Carla's assistant. What's going on?!

Rosina Mon 11-Jul-22 22:08:36

Carla is supposed to be a very shrewd business woman - is she really likely to snub an excellent offer in these difficult times just because she feels petty? Not likely.

Calendargirl Wed 13-Jul-22 20:43:10

Surely by the time Ronnie has got his plot of land bought and plans for the houses passed, Ed will have finished mending Steve’s roof?

Or he might have if he didn’t spend so much time in the Rovers.

As for Sally and Tim’s sex life- words fail me.

shock

Calendargirl Wed 13-Jul-22 20:57:40

And what was that on top of Sarah’s head?

Adam’s weird hairstyles rubbing off on her?

sodapop Wed 13-Jul-22 21:02:11

Yes what a strange hairstyle, I thought so as well Calendargirl
The situation between Phil & Tyrone is stretching credulity to its limits.

Doodledog Wed 13-Jul-22 21:46:22

The only thing left is for the two of them to partner up and set up home.

sodapop Wed 13-Jul-22 22:06:06

grin great story line Doodledog

HurdyGurdy Thu 14-Jul-22 08:29:15

Calendargirl

And what was that on top of Sarah’s head?

Adam’s weird hairstyles rubbing off on her?

I texted my friend asking if Sarah was wearing a pretzel on the top of her head grin

She was wondering the same thing!
