A very good question, Calendargirl. She didn't seem at all concerned tonight, and doesn't seem to have made any provisions for her accommodation.

Maybe she's going to end up in that Retirement Village that Ken and [Rula Lenska] and Norris and [Emily's niece] moved to.

I find it strange that Evelyn is sitting in the house with Tyrone who has decided to move back in as the flat is too crowded. Won't they have to move or has Tyrone brought it on the quiet?

Didn't Fay have a baby years ago after a secret pregnancy? She was very young and couldn't cope so the baby was given to boyfriends parents to raise.

And quite how Jon and Emma propose to just set up bars in Oz and get jobs in hair salons at a couple of days notice beats me.

What about work visas, residency restrictions, etc etc?

Most of the main storylines are pretty boring at the moment, ( Emma / new boyfriend for example ) Coronation street definitely needs some new interesting characters.
The Jack & Vera days will never be matched I know, but they could definitely do better.

The previous supermarket was FreshCo.

I've remembered the supermarket manager -Reg Holdsworth! He was quite a character.

Reg and his wife Maureen were a comical partnership. I vaguely remember a scene when their waterbed sprung a leak and flooded down into the corner shop.

Curly Watts was also the supermarket manager, wasn’t he?

And I seem to recall a storyline where a girl died in a freezer there, I think Andy McDonald was involved somehow, but it’s all a bit of a hazy memory.

That won't be a problem on Corrie, Calendargirl - and you can catch a flight to anywhere, including Oz, at a moment's notice.

Obviously Emma and Jon will make up and she'll go off to Oz with him and that means soppy Craigie continues to work at the knicker factory doing Shirley Bassey impressions in the evenings to earn money to look after the baby that droopy Faye is expecting. The boring one - Toyah - can't adopt Elsie. I reckon that'll change, she'll get back with Imran, Alfie will be adopted by Imran but looked after by Abi and Kevin, and Jack will have a new baby brother. As for Summer, she will give up on Oxford and marry Dev's son who seems a sensible lad. Years later she will regret this but Corrie will still be running so the scriptwriters will find a way for her to get a degree while Dev's son stays at home and looks after all the kids. And Sam? He'll be prime minister by then.

Imran is good looking but he's not my type. I prefer Daniel and Peter, definitely not Adam, far too cocky for my liking.

Getting bored with whose sleeping with who.

fizz is only leaving the street but not the show.

I wondered where Evelyn was going as well. She doesn't seem concerned about the future at all.

You could be right sodapop. My memory is hazy on it. I thought Reg and Maureen lived in the flat above the shop and the water bed leaked into the shop. Maybe I imagined that part! I must have a search for any clips.

Here’s the clip of Les and Cilla having a romantic evening upstairs in their hot tub. It’s really funny. Smeichel their Great Dane jumps in beside them and the hot tub falls through the floor into the downstairs living room just as Fiz, Kirk and Chesney arrive home. Chesney is just a little boy.

But Nottooold Craigy's back in the Police now! Thank goodness there'll be someone to deal with all offences. With him and Aggie all we need is a fireman to represent the emergency services.
