Julia- with Sarah Lancashire on Sky Atlantic

I’m loving this series! Sarah Lancashire is a delight and really seems to be enjoying her role doesn’t she? I can’t wait for tomorrow night. All these cakes being sliced and shared and I’m on a diet. Aargh!

I've really enjoyed this. The next episode is on Tuesday at 9.00 on Sky. Followed by another 3 weekly episodes, so 8 altogether. It did seem strange that the first 4 were available to download all at once. I was hoping that the next four would also be available to download straight away.

I think you may have experienced what I did vintagejazz, watched Petits Four, found no more epsiodes to watch and thought is was an odd ending. Then I thought, the next series would start with the show's syndication and what happens as the show goes nationwide. But no! There are four more episodes to come. See here:

I read there that Joan Cusack and Tom Hollander were originally cast as Julia and Paul Child.

Is Petits Four the last episode?

Watched three episodes last night and we both enjoyed them, recommended by a GN friend.

I should correct - love - this series as it isn't over yet! I thought it ended rather oddly and now see there are more episodes to come.

I was doubtful about this as I very much enjoyed the film Julie and Julia with Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci as the Childs (and Amy Adams as the young home cook and blogger) but absolutely loved this series at it looks at the Childs' lives from a different angle - the making of the TV show. Sarah Lancashire and David Hyde Pierce are charming in the central roles and good to see Bebe Neuwirth as Julia's friend Avis.

I’m on the sofa, not very well and this is just the thing, but don’t watch it if you are already hungry!

My youngest daughter has just sent me a text encouraging me to watch it on SKY Atlantic. She said it very funny too and she’s binge watching it. I’m nearly up to date with ‘The Split’ so this will be my next go-to. I love Sarah Lancashire.
