I'm watching Jarvis now. smile
One of my heroes.

it is a catch-up

Not sure what you mean dragonfly46. iplayer is the BBC catch up site so if it is anywhere that is where it should be but there have been previous times where artists or their management will not allow the set to be shown.

Always liked Motown and Diana Ross in particular. Many happy memories of dancing the night away to her music at parties in the 60s
Haven't heard her at Glastonbury, but she was very disappointing at the jubilee. There were times i thought she might be miming. I worried she woukd trip over her outfit ( and maybe break a hip, in which case she could join our ever expanding hip hop group).

Did you really expect her to belt it out at age 78grin. Just glad she didn’t trip over. I enjoyed singing along with the crowd and Elbow was just great.

MissAdventure

I haven't got catch up or anything like that.
blush
I never know how to do all that stuff.

I'm sitting at my laptop typing this and watching Elbow at the same time of the same laptop. Try this: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0cdxym7/glastonbury-glastonbury-channel-sunday

You might need to search around a bit but they're all there. smile

Time for me to do something else for a bit now.
I do not like this music at all.

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 26-Jun-22 20:49:00

So, in one week, I've enjoyed Mr McCartney , The Eagles, (on screen) and The Beach Boys - live in Kent. What a fabulous group of geriatrics!

volver Sun 26-Jun-22 20:48:55

You can see them on catch up MissA. I'm watching them again right now. smile

Is it only me who thinks they are reminiscent of Genesis before they got pop-y?

MissAdventure Sun 26-Jun-22 20:47:04

They're underrated I think.
Bum! Wish I'd has the tv on when they were onstage.

Casdon Sun 26-Jun-22 20:45:00

Elbow fan here too.

MissAdventure Sun 26-Jun-22 20:41:09

I love Elbow, too.
I enjoy watching their audiences, they seem to really feel their songs.

volver Sun 26-Jun-22 20:39:00

Zoejory, Hiraeth

Just been watching Elbow. ?. Nothing tops them. Saw them live a few years ago and they're even better live, aren't they?

MissAdventure Sun 26-Jun-22 20:38:34

Late again to the party.
The White Stripes.
I love them. smile

Sorry Merlot ??

No probs. ?

dragonfly46 Sun 26-Jun-22 20:29:57

I am just wishing I was 60 years younger when I used to sit in the gods at the local empire and watched Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Adam Faith, Cliff Richard and many many more.

dragonfly46 Sun 26-Jun-22 20:27:27

Sorry Merlot ??

Hiraeth Sun 26-Jun-22 20:26:50

Elbow brilliant .Very emotional

merlotgran Sun 26-Jun-22 20:20:42

I doubt that applies to everyone, dragonfly.

Anyway, it was meant to be one of those rare things on Gransnet these days…A joke!

Zoejory Sun 26-Jun-22 20:20:29

My favourites have been Diana and the lovely Olivia Rodrigo who did a cracking duet with Lily Allen. They sang F*ck You to the American judges involved in the Roe vs Wade decision. Quite apt

And now the sublime Elbow with my favourite song of theirs. Been to see them a couple of times and they put on a great show

Nothing there for me. Attended The Eagles concert last Monday in Liverpool...now that was fantastic...great musicians.

The Eagles in concert on Sky Arts now....I turned over from Diana Ross after thinking she was bad at the Jubilee.

dragonfly46 Sun 26-Jun-22 20:17:04

Very cynical Merlot.
My DS went for many years and did not do drugs.

HurdyGurdy Sun 26-Jun-22 20:15:38

I usually watch Glastonbury in the hopes of catching a glimpse of my son. But this is the first time in six years he didn't get tickets, so I've not watched much.

I did watch Diana Ross, and oh dear. I really wish I hadn't. She was the first proper concert I ever went to, and she was phenomenal. Her dress back then (late 70s/early 80s) was similar to the one she wore tonight, but the bat-wing sleeves on that dress went down to the ground, and when she stood for the first song, with her arms outstretched, the dress formed a projection screen from her shoulder to her feet, and they played a video of her. I wish I'd just stayed with my memories, and not watched her tonight.

dragonfly46 Sun 26-Jun-22 20:15:06

I thought Diana Ross was brilliant and certainly not miming.
The best act was George Ezra, the secret performer on theJohn Peel stage. I have loved all of it - if only I was 50 years younger!

dragonfly46 Sun 26-Jun-22 20:12:15

Lindylou it is a catch-up.
