I hate it when I realise that the answer was bloomin' obvious and I got it wrong .

I like Only Connect! The questions are quirky and it's different from more mundane quiz programmes.
Yes, Victoria has an odd sense of humour

I like UC when I can answer a question which the contestants don't know. It's sometimes because of my age but it's still satisfying ?

Ah yes, Monday night is quiz night delight - and my favourite Who Wants To Be a Millionaire is listed in my TV magazine as also being back on Saturday at 9.30 - so it had better be or I shall be very annoyed.

I love OC. I agree about Victoria's humour, but I think it falls flat because she's reading an autocue and tries to look as though she's talking to an audience when there isn't one. It would be better if she cut the 'ho ho' bits at the beginning and end, and they put in another round.

I’m probably alone, but I’m very glad that summer’s almost over. I loathe hot weather, and I prefer winter clothes to summer clothes.

I feel as if life’s returning to normal! I love both these programmes, particularly University Challenge. I see there’s a programme about it immediately after.

I enjoy Only Connect, occasionally I do get an answer right.

I love OC, most of the time I don't understand the answers let alone the questions, I also love Victoria CM she's definitely different and I think she puts the contestants at ease and stops it being too serious.

I enjoy both of them, am constantly amazed at how good some individuals/teams are on OC. The only rounds I ever do quite well in are the wall and the missing vowels.
This’ll be JP’s last series, I for one will be sad to see him go. UC at 60 is on immediately after UC, the Radio Times describes it as “a bittersweet farewell gift” to JP.

This was one of several things that got me through the pandemic. The Times quiz, Monday quiz night ( although the dog hated it because we always did get nails on Monday nights), Bob Ross on BBC4 and several podcasts. Only Connect is totally beyond me and I’m happy if I answer one question on UC. Strangely enough it was only a couple of days ago that I noticed that the nights were drawing in. Time for me to go into full hibernation soon, methinks.

I take your point, Grandma70s - and I wilt like an ageing lettuce at the first hint of a heatwave - but it just seems that yet another year’s rushing by way too fast. Still, we’ve got Victoria and Jeremy to cheer me up!

I remember being surprised when my dear SisIL said she disliked September, it was the portent of winter cold. I'd always loved autumn but I can see her point, especially this year.
