Last week's postponed Strictly is on tonight at 7pm. Apparently Rose & Giovanni will be reprising their winning routine.

If it had been Kym or Tony or the Eastenders guy, they would definitely have put Jayde through. Thank goodness it was Mollie!

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 21:18:57

I loved Victoria Wood and the Ballad of Barry and Freda.
Unfortunately, I shall see that dance if I think of it in future!

Joseanne Sun 23-Oct-22 21:10:49

It was definitely the Charleston. But as this dance traditionally requires a lot of leg crossing over and knee back flicks, there was no way Jayde was going to get near achieving that.

Jayde's was apparently a jive. I cannot believe Shirley saying Jayde was one of the better dancers.

I feel Tony's days are numbered because there are so many better dancers than him there-actually all of them but he does try.

No, it was a Charleston, shows how bad it was when we can’t recognise if it was a jive or a Charleston!

I think Tony as a dancer should go, but he’s far more entertaining than some still in, so maybe not. What needs to happen is for the judges to give him some of the ludicrous marks that have been awarded so he’s not at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Yes, I agree, definitely a fair decision, having said that, I didn’t look Mollies dance at all.

Agree with what you say. I love Jayde, but it was a fair decision. Tony was the worst though in my opinion.

Yes, right decision. Next week it should be Tony to go ( although I think he should have gone weeks ago).

He would look good as a spooky skeleton next week!

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 20:32:32

Obviously Tony is the People's Choice week after week as he was right down at the bottom of the leader board (was it 19 points last night?).

A lot of the public must vote for him. Not even in the dance off!

Good point Joseanne about the dance/theatre school. Yes, might have put people off. Not me, but I just didn’t like the routine so she didn’t get my vote, although I think she is a good dancer.

Jayde actually only did 4 swivels (I counted) in her Charleston. The rest of the time she was just stomping around. (in an "outstanding" way, according to Shirley smile )

Oh, it was a Charleston, was it? ?

I recognised Helen's as a Charleston but had no idea what Jayde's dance was.
Yes, it was stompy.

Zoejory Sun 23-Oct-22 19:49:25

Jayde did well and clearly had a marvellous time but maybe time to go.

So next week we have them all decked out in Halloween costumes
I wonder who will do the Time Warp this year

Seemed very self-indulgent of the BBC to take over a Strictly programme.

Er... if it wasn't for the BBC, we wouldn't have 'Strictly', would we? However, I agree that using all the signature tunes as dance music was a bad idea.

I really enjoyed the pros dance with the David Attenborough talk over tonight, I thought it was lovely.

I thought both dances by the professionals - at the beginning of last night's and tonight's were excellent.

Not sorry to see Jayde go. I always thought she was too stompy

Yes, this. What a silly comment from Shirley! Outstanding? No.

Me too. It was beautiful.

Yes, right decision.
I wasn't keen on Molly's dance and I also think the video all about Sylvia Young training from an early age might have put voters off.

Calendargirl Sun 23-Oct-22 19:30:37

Foregone conclusion.

Surprised Shirley didn’t go for Jayde, as she thought she was ‘outstanding’.

But sadly, she wasn’t.

Molly’s routine this week wasn’t much, hope she does a better one next time.

Callistemon21 Sun 23-Oct-22 19:28:52

Both fun dances, although I don't know what they were! Jives?

The right decision, I think but neither were the worst dancers.

Joseanne Sun 23-Oct-22 19:02:46

Oooer I didn't expect that!
Whoever is against Mollie will be trembling when their turn comes.

The result is all over the place. I don't mind knowing before tonight's episode.

As long as they don't pretend the site to be live. It's always annoyed me when they mention Sarurday or last night

Didn't most people know it was recorded on the Saturday?
