I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 15:48:42

That could work.
I can't stand preparing meat, by the way. blush

Grannynannywanny Fri 18-Nov-22 16:22:32

I could pack my spider catcher as my permitted luxury item

I'd be hopelessblush. Can't stand confined spaces, rats, cockroaches and spiders. Hopeless at swimming. Gag when watching the eating trials so couldn't do that. Gag at unpleasant smells so couldn't empty the dunny; not sure I could use it TBH.

Would be OK with snakes and heights but that's it really so the jungle definitely isn't the place for me.

Don't worry, it's not a jungle, it's a semi-temperate rainforest. Most of those creatures won't be there!!

Callistemon21 Fri 18-Nov-22 16:39:50

Autocorrect.

Semi tropical

Now I know who would end up doing a crocodile Dundee...
I'd have no option after all the concessions made for my general cowardice. (I blame my mum for that)

Yup, I forgot that I also gag at horrible smells or tastes, and no good at cooking, so I really would be no use at all. I'm the same as you but add snakes and heights to my list. I couldn't cope with any of it, so would never go there!

Chestnut Fri 18-Nov-22 18:03:38

My only good point is that I do stay calm and I don't panic. So I could catch a spider for instance, as long as I had something to catch it with. But if it crawled down my neck then I probably would panic.

Smileless2012 Fri 18-Nov-22 18:06:08

No worries Chestnut, MissA can be in charge of all things vegetable, I'll take care of the meat and you can be in charge of the jelly babies, custard creams and any other sweet stuff.

Well that's reassuring Callistemon, the idea of meals on wheels or a kiosk has just got bettergrin.

Callistemon21 Fri 18-Nov-22 18:08:51

I don't like heights, when Charlene and Jill were walking the plank I was nearly crying!

Callistemon21 Fri 18-Nov-22 18:09:47

jelly babies, custard creams
I don't like those either but could force them down if the alternative was worse!

Smileless2012 Fri 18-Nov-22 18:16:32

Got to be better than a fish eye Callistemon, just the thought of putting one of those in my mouth makes me feel sick!!!

Nanatoone Fri 18-Nov-22 18:27:30

I simply could not do the challenges, smells and yucky things are a no-no, critters are an absolute no-no. I think there were ways to do similar trials but without the disgusting and vile factor. I’d enjoy that much more, though I confess to laughing in the worst possible way at Chris Moyles being scared and worried (I’d be no better, but I’m not there or being paid big money). I do sometimes wonder if I could do it for the money. Probably!

kircubbin2000 Fri 18-Nov-22 19:43:09

I couldn't stand being in the company of most of those people.

DH ate some (unknowingly) when he was overseas.

Your poor husband Callistemon.

Galaxy Fri 18-Nov-22 21:27:40

Whatever I think of BG, he has been very unlucky with his partners for trials, they have been useless.

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 21:29:11

George seems ok to me.
I did miss a couple of days, though.

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 22:06:42

A moment between Matt and George, too.
Good for George for saying it, and good for Matt for understanding (or maybe just saying he does?)

He wasn't fazed, Smileless!

I will forever remember Charlene for walking ut on that plank.

That was the ultimate trial imo.

MissAdventure Fri 18-Nov-22 22:35:18

It feels like Chris is a pressure cooker on the verge of blowing.

Smileless2012 Fri 18-Nov-22 22:39:18

Maybe he'd do well in the jungle Callistemon.

I don't think George had much choice MissA, it looked as if Matt caught him out bitching about him. He didn't seem to know what to say when Matt said he liked him. 'You're a very confusing person'!!!

Callistemon21 Fri 18-Nov-22 22:41:34

Wrong person left.

Is it a fix? She was really missing her children.

Joseanne Fri 18-Nov-22 22:42:13

I'm glad Matt didn't rise to a confrontation with Boy George. I'm not sure that a lot politicians would have kept their cool like that.
Why was Charlene so worried about her future career that she couldn't let go and be herself? I thought that was the idea of the programme. To my mind she has done herself a disservice in that respect.
