Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.

We need to have an active thread at all times.

Oh well I must have watched it out of one eye (I was taking a phone call at some point) . I missed that she was unconscious but having said that she initiated all the drinking was happily kissing and cuddling him they were both off their heads (I’ve been raped it wasn’t as cosy as that) ahh well makes a topical story I guess especially as she ll probably be pregnant regret it all and he ll end up in THE prison she ll end up in THE hospital he ll lose HIS job and Jacob will come back and kill him and Steven will live happily ever after with what’s her face
Can I be bothered

Grannynannywanny Sun 05-Mar-23 07:00:07

BlueBelle yes Any and Aaron were both very drunk. So much so that Amy passed out . She was unable to consent to having penetrative sex as she was unconscious. Aaron continued regardless of the incapable state she was in. He removed her underwear while she was out cold and had sex with her. It’s rape.

BlueBelle Sun 05-Mar-23 04:12:45

Aaron and Amy wasn t date rape ! she was as much over him as he her she was leading the way with the drink going down, just a young couple getting pxxxxx and following through he was nt forcing her and he was as drunk as she was

Date rape would have seen him getting her drunk but being in total control himself unless I was missing something I often fall asleep so who knows

She’s obviously going to get pregnant and everything will be pear shaped then Jacob the love of her life will come back and she ll lose him all over again

Ohh dear more tragedy it really isn’t getting unwatchable isnt it

We’ve now got to worry about Paul and Gemma getting into debt, perhaps next they’ll have Gemma going to a food bank. It would have been better if they’d just had Aaron and Amy agreeing how boring Summer is and falling asleep. I don’t think I can cope with Summer doing her resits.

Hate to say it but Corrie has had its day.It is hard to feel any interest for most of the characters who mostly behave as though they are in a pantomime. The Stephen storyline gets more ridiculous in every episode and now we have the Amy and Aaron saga beginning. It’s got so bad I watch Eastenders for some reality!

Maggiemaybe Sun 05-Mar-23 00:07:31

Oh dear. This could all have been avoided if Brian had still been there to keep an eye on things. Though of course it was him who provided the bottle of fluorescent blue gin they were knocking back in the first place.

It’s not easy being a teenager on Coronation Street, is it, to say there are so few of them? Drugs, body image issues, bullying, racist attacks and other hate crimes, spiking, revenge porn, alcoholic/murdered/murdering parents, unwanted pregnancies, far right grooming, amputated limbs, premature menopause, knocking over pensioners and now date rape. Have I missed anything?

At least they have PC Craig, Dr Gaddes and Nurse Aggie on duty 24/7 and ready to muck in to sort out any problem.

Aveline Sat 04-Mar-23 12:14:54

Tracy'll have something to say to him! I doubt Steve will do more than bluster though.

Grannynannywanny Sat 04-Mar-23 12:12:51

I suspect we are going to be subjected to scenes of Aaron crying and snivelling and insisting they were both drunk and it was consensual.

Aveline Sat 04-Mar-23 09:51:14

Oh no. I didn't realise it would be a date rape situation. I'd fast forwarded through what I'd thought was a snogging scene. I reckon feisty Amy will sort him out.

Franbern Sat 04-Mar-23 08:46:25

I haver reached the point of fast forwarding ALLscenes in which Stephen appears. No interest whatsoever with this stupid story line and cannot wait for it to rach a well ovderdue end.

Calendargirl Fri 03-Mar-23 22:11:05

Date rape, or non consensual sex. Yet another topical storyline, but unpleasant.

Just one after another.

No wonder Corrie is haemorrhaging viewers.

Grannynannywanny Fri 03-Mar-23 21:27:31

Shocked by the final scene between Aaron and Amy. How awful. Another very unpleasant storyline now going to unfold.

Calendargirl Fri 03-Mar-23 13:42:17

I suppose if Stephen marries Elaine, he can get her to do her Will with him as beneficiary, then he can bump her off (number 3), inherit the penthouse flat/cottage in the country, and live happily ever after.

Smacks of desperation Beechnut

Beechnut Thu 02-Mar-23 20:58:34

How much dafter about Stephen can Elaine get 🤪

Doodledog Thu 02-Mar-23 20:22:20

TGFT!

Please let this stupid storyline be put out of its misery.

lemsip Thu 02-Mar-23 20:21:32

oh dear, teas mixed up!

Calendargirl Wed 01-Mar-23 07:14:54

I too was confused about Daryan’s departure.

It was as if the scriptwriters had run out of ideas for him, now that Griff and Max are locked up, and thought “Oh well, let’s send him to Nottingham to be with his brother”.

What about his school place, (the one Max wanted), and his job at Speed Dahl?

Who is actually working at Speed Dahl now? Alya is in training to be the next Perry Mason, Zeedan has cleared off to London (again), and there is not sight nor sound of Stu, who must be spending all his time looking after Eliza.

Yasmeen must be running the place single handed.

Maggiemaybe Tue 28-Feb-23 23:54:43

Me too, but I bet it turns out to be something horrible. I don't think the Corrie scriptwriters can help themselves.

I was a bit confused by Daryan heading off for Nottingham. One minute he's being offered the train fare and getting a pep talk from Evelyn, persuading him to take it. The next they're all waving him off as though he's never coming back. I thought he was just going down for a day or two to try to find his brother. If he's only got the train fare, where's he going to sleep, how's he going to eat?

Doodledog Tue 28-Feb-23 23:03:29

What is going to be the matter with Paul? Is it a result of the accident, or is he developing a horrible illness. I really hope not.

Aveline Tue 28-Feb-23 17:57:01

Chesney

Aveline Tue 28-Feb-23 17:56:53

Who from? Bernie? Paul? Cheney?

sodapop Tue 28-Feb-23 16:58:13

Peter said he won the money gambling but didn't mention it as he thought Carla would disapprove.
I think someone else mentioned this some time ago but Gemma is almost turning into a caricature, I think that by now she would have learned more social skills.

Aveline Tue 28-Feb-23 16:41:01

She did it with convincing gusto though!

Clawdy Tue 28-Feb-23 14:45:22

The "Gemma eating cake" scene was horrible. The actress must have read that script with a sinking feeling!
