Yes, we all know it’s rubbish, but Corrie is an institution.

We need to have an active thread at all times.

Oh yes. I’d forgotten about them.

BlueBelle Wed 25-Jan-23 23:38:13

I was wondering where Stu was and has his little granddaughter disappeared

Aveline Wed 25-Jan-23 21:26:22

Also why wasn't Aggie on duty at the hospital? Where was Craigie when he was needed too? Lot of slacking on tonight's episode!

vegansrock Wed 25-Jan-23 21:20:28

Max yet again tries to thwart an attack. The hospital set gets its weekly outing. Where is Stu?

Aveline Wed 25-Jan-23 19:45:27

Phew!!

lemsip Wed 25-Jan-23 19:32:43

Calendargirl it will appear sooner rather than later.

There is no football advertised in my neck of the woods tonight, London so please double check.

I've just come on to say that. On my planner it is now saying that Corrie is on tonight as usual. They must have changed the schedule for some reason.

AS YOU WERE, EVERYONE!!

Won’t Audrey think it odd when her car is returned without the roof box? Or has she asked Stephen to get rid of it for some reason?

Either way, the story line is too daft for words.

What if it re-surfaces sometime? Surely if a body is found in it, it will be all over the News, and even the Platt family might then think about Audrey’s disappearing roof box….

So whose body is going to be found first? Leo or Teddy?? It just gets sillier by the episode. The scene where Stephen stood watching the roof box bobbing on the canal made me laugh. Not sure that was the intention but it was just so silly.

Does anyone remember a sitcom in the 70’s with Thora Hird called In Loving Memory? Thora and her nephew ran a funeral business. A strange topic for a sitcom but my Dad thought it was hilarious. I remember one scene when they hadn’t secured the back door on the hearse and the coffin flew out. I was expecting something like that when Audrey was driving over the Peaks.

Yes, I remember that programme, Grannynannywanny. Made me laugh, too.

NotTooOld Wed 25-Jan-23 14:09:53

Thanks for the heads-up. Doodledog.

Doodledog Tue 24-Jan-23 18:34:03

It's not on tomorrow, because of the football.

There is an episode on Thursday at 9.00pm instead.

The role playing story is an attempt to bring some humour into the script but it’s totally ridiculous. As for Sally and Tim and their dressing up box the least said the better. Daisy’s unhinged stalker was creepy and I doubt that’s the last we’ve seen of him unless they set Mad Max’ boys round. I hate the way they introduce long lost relatives as new characters, they’ve done that with the loud lady who now works behind the bar( Glenda?) Yes, they have enough of these similar characters.

Beechnut Mon 23-Jan-23 22:20:12

I’ve read that Evelyn thinks Tyrone is cheating on Fizz. I think it is Fizz wearing a wig and they are ‘role playing’.

Doodledog Mon 23-Jan-23 22:19:07

What did Max do? I was watching paint dry for most of tonight’s episode.

The idea of someone driving about with a dead body in a roof box is ridiculous. Did we ever find out what happened to Leo? Are father and son swimming with the fishes, or is Leo in the sinkhole?

It’s time we had some believable storylines for a change.

NotTooOld Mon 23-Jan-23 21:46:44

Carla seems to be back on form, feistier than ever. I liked her t-shirt tonight.

Not keen on Daisy's mum. Another middle aged woman from the same mould as Bernie and Cilla, Fiz and Chesney's mum (remember her?).

Agree that Stephen must go. All that stuff with Teddy on top of the car was not even funny. Couldn't believe it when our Craigie turned up.

Why does David need wood chippings? I thought his back yard was just a sink hole? Or did it get filled in when I wasn't looking?

Alioop Mon 23-Jan-23 20:31:57

This is like Carry On 'On the Cobbles'. That idiot needs to go and take the script writer with him. Looks like Mad Max will be up to no good again too. Here we go again

sodapop Mon 23-Jan-23 17:00:27

I'm with you Charleygirl5 let's find another sink hole for him. Time this story line came to a close.

Charleygirl5 Mon 23-Jan-23 15:17:26

I may be forced to visit the cobbles myself and remove Stephen permanently. Please will you send me food parcels?

I think you may be on the wrong thread, Franbern. Are you talking about The Archers?

Not sure it matters that much, Doodledog! grin

Franbern Mon 23-Jan-23 11:54:21

Apologies......I was confusing Jennifer with Jill Archer.

Obviously, I only half listen and never quite sure of who is who just from voice.

So it was Jennifer (she of the posh kitchen( who has dropped down dead. Still a good age wasn't she?

Doodledog Mon 23-Jan-23 10:09:54

Oh yes! Wasn't that Max's dad?

That family has rather more than its share of trauma, doesn't it? 😂

And Gail tries so hard to maintain her facade of respectability in spite of it all. You have to take your hat off to her, really.

Franbern Mon 23-Jan-23 09:37:23

Do you remember the body under the floor in Gail's extension bedroom? So many murderers seem drawn to live on the cobbles!!!!
