So have switched onto Netflix - wanted to see for myself what the 'fuss' is all about as many diverse opinions on this couple on here and other social platforms ...as well as the media with 'experts' who state this and that etc etc...

Chestnut Sat 10-Dec-22 15:36:39

It seems that most people either won't watch it, or have watched it but either hated it or were bored senseless. This is worldwide, not just the UK.

I just wonder what the viewing figures for episode 6 will be. Can anyone actually make it through to the end or have they all given up after the first episode? 🥱

I love the idea of there being a 'dislike' button on Netflix! I might start watching it just so I can click on that. 😉

Just to add, for those who watch it all the way, can you please report back as to whether there is any mention of her father who raised her by himself for several years, or has he been thrown into the rubbish bin along with everyone else she doesn't want in her new celebrity life?

I prefer not to watch such drivel. I can’t believe how much air time is wasted on analysing these 2. Harry is out of his depth and she is a narcissistic sociopath. Harry’s life is doomed.

Based on your qualifications as an online psychiatrist?

There’s quite a bit about Meghan’s father in episodes 2 and 3.

For people who claim they never watch or read anything about H and M, many sit in judgement and interpret their feelings and motivations negatively, based on popular press and sheer gossip. So many armchair psychologists...!

And mind readers !

nadateturbe Sat 10-Dec-22 16:03:20

I was in a shop in NI today and absolutely horrified at how somd customers were speaking of H and M. One lady said she couldn't think of anything bad enough to say about her. They spoke with such hatred. I was shocked that people can think like that.

katy1950 Sat 10-Dec-22 16:04:43

Totally agree with chestnut who as a film crew with them 24/7

volver Sat 10-Dec-22 16:07:18

nadateturbe I can honestly say I don't know anybody in real life who talks about anybody they way some people talk about Harry and Meghan. I don't understand where it all comes from at all.

Fae1 Sat 10-Dec-22 16:11:51

100% agree!

Susieq62 Sat 10-Dec-22 16:13:03

I refuse to give them the time of day . They chose to leave the UK and cut ties with the royal family. They have wealth so do not need to do this series.
I don’t doubt there were issues concerning Harry’s choice of Meghan for his wife. However, I believe she is pulling the “ actress “ strings here as her career has faltered. It is a shame they have resorted to doing this . They could have gone quietly to the US and done better work for others .

volver Sat 10-Dec-22 16:17:00

I can't remember what I said at 14:01 but at least there was someone who agreed with me. Obviously it was too awful for some people to read. Strange, as on this thread I've been called a self important stalker with a sad life but that's still allowed to stand.

These rules are just too complicated for me. 🤣

kevincharley Sat 10-Dec-22 16:27:40

I think I may find better things to do with my time. Think I'd sooner clean the toilet.

Well that surprises me because Harry says she has no father! (As mentioned on the other thread). Or maybe he means she had a father back then but doesn't have one any more, as if your father just disappears.

End of story

Calendargirl Sat 10-Dec-22 16:39:44

when her father had been banned, there were no friends or family of hers there and her mum was shoved four rows up in the corner and her in laws took all the front seats

I didn’t think her father was banned, he had a heart attack. The friends were a rent-a-crowd list of celebrities, i.e. Oprah, the Clooneys et al. Meghan’s ‘mates’.
Her mum was seated where she had a prime view of the whole of the wedding ceremony, Charles escorted her out of church, and yes, the RF took most of the other seats because that was how Meghan had sorted her guest list, one assumes.

I think that Meghan has fallen out with Jessica Mulroney, if that’s her name, one of her besties at the time, whose twin sons were page boys.

A clip just popped up on something else I was watching. It made me cringe.

Kate, Meganut always makes me cringe, especially when she talks (screeches). The fixed grin, close ups of her fake tan and the claw holding on to Hapless. I can't afford Netflix but I expect it will be in the papers.

People are understandably feeling real anger at the betrayal and disrespect they are showing the Queen and her family. We have recently seen the overwhelming love people had for the Queen during the Jubilee and then the funeral. And now for this to be transmitted worldwide is just shameful. Surely you can understand what betrayal and disrespect mean? The magnitude of this betrayal has totally overwhelmed most ordinary people, which is why they feel such anger and bitterness.

OK, I've remembered the words I used at 14:01.

I didn't call anybody w*** r, narcissist, or a z-list actress, or a sociopath, or any of the rest of it. I didn't call anybody horrible, or a hypocrite, or a fake. But apparently those things are acceptable. I didn't call anybody anything but referred to the character traits of some UK people.

We've lost our way. Really lost it.

volver Sat 10-Dec-22 16:46:42

Oh, its got better while I was posting. New names to call people.

RVK1CR Sat 10-Dec-22 16:47:55

"Except that not many 'adult' children make documentaries to be shown world wide to air their grievances."

You are right there, but Megaliar is an attention seeker, she does like a camera or two focused on her. That Oprah fiasco was enough for me, whinge, whinge poor me; entitled pair.

This is social media which means an assortment of opinions and random comments including insults thrown at anyone in politics, the media or the RF. Surely you know that? If you don't like it then social media is not for you. You have done your fair share of goading and putting people down!

Anniebach Sat 10-Dec-22 16:53:09

Some have been betrayed by close family members, betrayal is
so hard to recover from or to forgive

volver Sat 10-Dec-22 16:53:48

I don't call people childish names and I don't make personal insults.

So the whataboutery is wasted.

You don’t have to watch it. Just go into your Netflix app and you can 👎 as many times as you want.
