I suggest, tentatively, that those who are interested enough in these things will find their views vindicated, whether they are pro-Harry & Meghan or pro Royal Family. They are divided into mutually-antagonistic camps armed to the teeth with venom, barbs and sarcasm.

For those like me, who can't raise much enthusiasm for the lifestyles of the rich and famous and the arcane medieval protocols of the royals, because they have little if any impact on our lives, we'd just like to find somewhere to shelter from the crossfire.

It’s very sad to say, but they are both rather immature and pathetic. Some serious growing up is required. Haven’t watched the programme and nor will I. The clips on mainstream tv were cringeworthy enough. Still, I expect it will add yet more millions to their bank account.

Well, you don't have actual figures on whether it's "most" ordinary people.

And encouraging this kind of reaction in my view is dangerous.
They told things from their perspective. People may not agree with everything they are saying - but the hatred that is felt and encouraged is unmerited. And as I say dangerous.

In principle I do too, but there must be limits to that freedom. Articles which are overtly or covertly racist or are victimising individuals should not be allowed.

So let's face it. You don't believe in freedom of the press. Please don't pretend you can believe in it in principle and then put limits on it.

Best thing anyone can do is NOT watch it, NOT comment on it and totally IGNORE the pair of them ...........I wonder if they are donating any of the fee to the causes they preach about ...homelessness, mental health, bereavement, abused women ????? Kate, Meganut always makes me cringe, especially when she talks (screeches). The fixed grin, close ups of her fake tan and the claw holding on to Hapless. I can't afford Netflix but I expect it will be in the papers.

She did experience racism as she told of when her and her mum, Doria, were in the car and Doria was called the N word by a driver she had beeped her horn at.

Another person I saw interviewed was Thomas Markle Jnr. who seems a perfectly normal nice guy. It seems Meghan still hasn't contacted her father who is in poor health, and let's face it could pop off any time. Harry has still never met him. Her father brought her up alone for some years and yet she has completely abandoned him and the family. Never invited any of them to the wedding, including her niece who she was very close to. Thomas Jnr says the Markle family are going to make their own programme or series next year which will show 'their truth'. Should be worth watching! 😂

Totally agree. She did the performance of a lifetime on her wedding day. What bride could possibly be that overjoyed when her father had been banned, there were no family nor friends of hers there and her mum was shoved 4 rows up in the corner and her in-laws took all the front seats? If it were me I would have been devastated. That told me enough.

I am sure that Meghan and Harry are right and it has been their duty to speak out and call out the racism, both of the individuals and the institution comprising the Royal Family. Then if the royals are genuinely good people with truly noble hearts, they can do something positive about it instead of appealing to the worst instincts of the mob and media. BestPeople have toadied to the royals all their lives so it's not surprising that eg. William, Charles and others are probably not very self aware and require some race education. I wonder if anyone in their circles or employment has suggested it. Maybe not.

If Meghan says that she has been subject to racism, she should be taken seriously, like any victim of abuse. All the worse that it comes from such a privileged institution. I find Charles absolutely disgusting when he complained he isn't a bank. Which super rich loving father denies his child and grandchildren the means to provide proper security? He clearly doesn't love Harry despite his protestations. He hasn't really been a very nice man in his personal relationships if the things he's done/not done are examined but I do respect his environmental work.

Well done to Harry for being a different kind of father and husband, he's no saint but he seems loving and to have his priorities right. He is setting his children a good example and is not just putting up with racism. If he put up with racism, what message would that send to his children?

Harry and Meghan are very wealthy in their own right; they hardly need an allowance from Charles to pay the rent.
Expecting Daddy to fund you in your thirties and forties is just plain greedy and entitled, even if he is wealthy.

They need to stand on their own feet; as they contribute nothing they should expect nothing.
