Haven't you noticed?
Since the beginning of their relationship , wherever they are, Meghan ALWAYS has her hand and/arm on Harry.
It's blatantly obvious - he's just a puppet on HER string!

WATCHING ...Harry & Meghan Netflix
(1001 Posts)GNHQ have commented on this thread. Read here.
So have switched onto Netflix - wanted to see for myself what the 'fuss' is all about as many diverse opinions on this couple on here and other social platforms ...as well as the media with 'experts' who state this and that etc etc...
I think Harry is very like his mother. I also think that he has buried his grief under all the activities he has undertaken. He has appeared to us all as good fun, humorous, a good soldier, with considerable charisma. He was never dull - however not the sharpest knife in the box. Then I think he fell in love. This has opened up all that buried anguish but like Pandora’s box, what is left is hope. Hope that when he has unburdened himself of all the angst, he will settle down. There will, after all’s said and done, be nothing left to say anyway. The Monarchy will continue- as it has mostly, for a thousand years (difficult perhaps, for Americans to understand this history) But probably in different ways, adapting to modern life, as it has to in order to survive and continue. It seems that the most successful democracies are those that also have a monarchy.
I think the whole idea of a Royal family is vastly outdated and the thought of bowing or curtseying to another person totally ridiculous. We all come into this world the same way and we all will leave it the same way.
I don't think we need a Royal Family anyway we have a government to represent us. Spending millions on them when people are sleeping on the streets is criminal imo.
I think Megan was very stressed by all the Royal rules and protocol and reacted against staff dictating how and what she could do. Who else here would want their lives rules by the "men in suits"
Diana hated the control, as did Sarah. Kate is so thin now so she's probably under great pressure too.
I watched their Netflix episode yesterday and think most of it is true. The press really did try to push her under and there were terrible comments about her on the Mail site including allegations that she wasn't really pregnant and was using a surrogate! The papers fuelled a campaign of racially motivated hatred against her.
It's common knowledge that the RF has racist members, and probably some staff are too.
Look at some of Philip's comments.
We need a republic.
I have never been interested in soap operas. Never watched Eastenders or Coronation Street.
Nowadays the Royal Family has become a soap! Particularly this obsession with Prince Harry and Meghan. The press have definitely stirred the pot, pitting one brother and his wife against the other. It’s totally bizarre! Everyone and his dog seems to take sides and have an opinion on who is right or wrong.
It’s an ongoing soap opera!
The press have to fill their newspaper pages, the tv people have to fill their programmes. So we are fed a daily diet of ridiculous articles. Then there is social media, where ordinary people take such a ferocious stand against people they don’t know in defence of their favoured royal. It’s a total farce! I’m going to sunnier climes for 3 months after Xmas. Looking forward to not hearing or reading about all this silly nonsense!
I don't get it
I read a few pages of this thread
Why are people so willing to read a few words of headline and condemn people but won't spend any time getting to know them as people?
This is something that happens to so many people. A bit of gossip goes round and suddenly everyone thinks they know someone having never spent any time with then.
It's a horrible human trait
Chestnut - I'm with you all the way - utter fake drivel - some other much more interesting documentaries available right now with real meaning, like stuff on climate change.
I think that what I have seen of the series so far suggests that there will be no trashing of the RF. They will not hop up and down to say how great they are (plenty of other posters have indicated the RF's lack of greatness) but we would not expect them to.
They are trying to set the record straight and this series is a drop in the bucket compared with the evil vitriol that has come from the press.
I too fell asleep, and can't bare the thought of watching anymore episodes.
I just think it so sad that Harry has split away from his family, and has such paranoid thoughts about them.
Isn't it time we gave up telling ourselves fairy stories about the monarchy and grew up?
Speak for yourself.
Most of us know the score, what the expectations are and the jobs they do, most of us don't read the trash that is printed in the newspapers.
I think its Harry's way of getting his revenge on the Royal Family for the way they all treated Diana and also for her death.
Vg you've left one person out in your condemnation of the RF, and that is the late Queen. Surely you can find some salacious disgraceful, racist episode in her life to condem her utterly for all time?
Isn't it time we gave up telling ourselves fairy stories about the monarchy and grew up?
Indeed so - it is Meghan's failure to live up to the fairy story image that has been projected onto her that has caused all unpleasant victimisation. How very dare she suggest that the RF is not perfect!!!
Meghan wasn’t being dumped on. She was merely expected to play her part in return for the life of wealth and privilege she was expecting
Here we go again - assuming that we know what someone is thinking! How do you know she was expecting (implied hoping for) a life of privilege? Maybe she just fell in love and the object of her love came from a toxic family which in the end she felt she could not cope with.
Now - you may be right - or indeed I may be right - but neither of us know her thoughts. And certainly should not be a party to the vitriol and victimisation that is going on on the basis of speculation.
No, and I have absolutely no intention of doing so.
Their behaviour is appalling; they wouldn’t have dared to have it shown when the Queen was alive and it’s a pity Prince Philip isn’t here!
I wouldn’t waste my time watching this boring pair, I’d rather watch paint dry.
One of the King's sons has married a black woman, the has married a white woman. Both have families and it is fair to wish both families happy and secure lives.
The King was recorded during the time of his marriage to the mother of his sons bewailing the fact he was separated from his mistress and wishing he could come back as a pair of trousers. Or a tampon.
The mistress is now Queen Consort.
The King himself kindly personally received large donations of cash from less than salubrious potentates and one of his assistants appears to have been negotiating honours.
Two of the King's brothers had wives caught on camera trying to sell access to the royal family for cash.
One of the monarch's brothers generously donated a lot of money he didn't seem to have to a woman trafficked into the UK when still a youngish teenager to provide sex for older men.
.
The King's late father made various remarks about other races which were seen as 'just the Duke' but were clearly offensive.
Isn't it time we gave up telling ourselves fairy stories about the monarchy and grew up?
What a self centred flinch making couple.
Harry is desperately trying to get sympathy for his wife who he is implying suddenly became the object of press attention. Knicker legs!!! She’s an actress who has always sought out publicity. And let’s face facts. It was Megan who started off the whispers about racism by stating that one of her in laws had made a remark before her sons birth, regarding his expected colour. Well I wondered too. Wondered if the gene for red hair would be passed on to his children. So what’s racist about that?
I watched the first episode and began watching the second but then fell asleep.
It really is pretty tame viewing.
What really struck home was when Harry said Meghan came to live in his world and now he has come to live in hers.
Must have been hard for Meghan, just because she had lived a different lifestyle and Harry probably was ready to ‘escape’. They are on their own path and I hope it goes well for them.
Meghan wasn’t being dumped on. She was merely expected to play her part in return for the life of wealth and privilege she was expecting
Yes, this absolutely.
It's not a life I would choose but for any who complain about their wealth and privilege - would they themselves choose that life of duty?
Callistemon, I think that he’s incredibly jealous of his brother.
I think that he wanted it all or nothing.
It’s that Windsor entitled petulance running down the male side of the family
I agree with Chestnut. Won’t be watching but it’s in the press anyway.
With the state of the world at the moment, I really cannot feel much sympathy for such an over-privileged and spoilt pair of
whingers. The loss of his Mum when Harry was so young was very tragic, but I believe he is being manipulated by an ambitious woman.
It started sending me to sleep after about 20 minutes!
It seems that he was trying to rid himself of his royal role; while simultaneously and perversely becoming obsessed with slipping down the line of succession.
He could have abdicated from the line of succession.
He is still on the list, surprisingly.
FannyCornforth
Glorianny good post.
It’s only recently that I have learnt how unhappy Harry was about the status quo, and how long that he had felt unhappy about it.
It seems that he was trying to rid himself of his royal role; while simultaneously and perversely becoming obsessed with slipping down the line of succession.
Yes, I think that is true.
I did get into trouble on one of the very many Meghan and Harry threads by suggesting that Meghan presented Harry with a perfect exit route, perhaps even unwittingly and perhaps not straight away.
It doesn't mean they don't love each other (whatever love means
). Some people find their one true love in life, others may love more than once. He probably loved Chelsy very much but it wasn't to be and hoped one of his other girlfriends might agree to face life in the fish bowl that is the Royal Family. However, they all realised they wouldn't like the publicity so they escaped.
Poor Harry must have been so glad to find a lovely young woman who loved him, one who was used to publicity and had used to it to further her activism about women's and girls' rights.
However, it didn't turn out as expected.
