There are certain programmes I have never ‘fancied’, so never watched, although others have raved about them.
Some have been on channels I don’t have, so couldn’t view.

They include;

Game Of Thrones.
The Detectorists.
The Royle Family.
Gogglebox.
Spooks.
Doc Martin.
Made In Chelsea (or similar).
Love Island.
The Kardashians.
The Bill.

Must be lots of others, but these pop into mind.

I realise I may be missing out on some good viewing.

Watch the Detectorists. The rest of them may not be to everyone's taste but the Detectorists is a must watch, in a class of its own.

I’ve never watched :

Game of thrones
Dr Who
Love Island

The name escapes me but the costume drama on ITV with Dame Maggie Smith etc in it. The very popular one - never watched that either. It’s come to me Downton Abbey 🤦‍♂️

Easier to list the programmes I have watched than those I haven't.

I agree volver re Dectectorists although I thought this Xmas one was a bit disappointing.

YorkLady Tue 27-Dec-22 08:54:32

I have never watched an episode of Home and Away or Neighbours 😳

NotAGran55 Tue 27-Dec-22 08:58:56

Grandmadinosaur Tue 27-Dec-22 09:00:40

Never watched the Crown or The handmaids tale either.

ixion Tue 27-Dec-22 09:01:34

Coronation Street

shysal Tue 27-Dec-22 09:23:12

Sex and the City,
Cheers,
Friends,
The Crown,
Handmaid's Tale,
Game of Thrones,
Kardashians,
Made in Chelsea,
Emmerdale,
Gavin and Stacey and many more.

I am put off when lots of people rave about a programme so often don't bother with it.

Most of the Op’s mentions.

We had never watched the Royle Family until a Christmas Special when my mother was with us, many years ago now - she died in 2015. I will never forget her laughing till she cried - it was brilliant.
For a while afterwards dds only had to say, ‘Y’all right there, Nana?’ in the accent, to set her off again.

Much the same re Gavin and Stacey, which we had never watched until a special a few years ago. Watched it again the other night! Ditto a Father Ted Christmas Special - I had to get the tissues - tears of laughter.

The Office
Game of Thrones
Dr Who/Star Trek
Neighbours/Home and Away
Breaking Bad
one episode of Sex and The City was quite enough
Love Island
anything Kardashian

LRavenscroft Tue 27-Dec-22 10:12:20

I've never watched Strictly come dancing.

Sparklefizz Tue 27-Dec-22 10:17:45

I used to watch Neighbours and Home & Away with my son and daughter when they were teenagers because the content often gave an opening to discuss teenage issues which would have been hard to introduce "cold" into the conversation.

I have never watched:
Game of Thrones
The Office
Dr Who
Breaking Bad
Sex & the City
Love Island or any reality programmes
Gavin & Stacey
The Handmaid's Tale (read the book and that was enough)
His Dark Materials
Any cooking programmes

Lomo123 Tue 27-Dec-22 10:18:33

Game of Thrones
Gavin and Stacey
Doc Martin
The Office
Handmaid Tales.
Hundreds more, but these seem to be the popular ones

SachaMac Tue 27-Dec-22 10:36:31

The Only Way is Essex
Love Island
Emmerdale (occasionally used to watch with my mum years ago when it was Emmerdale Farm)
The Kardashians
Hollyoaks
Loose Women
His Dark Materials

Mollygo Tue 27-Dec-22 10:42:22

Game of Thrones
Coronation Street
Emmerdale- though we put it in for my Dad when he stayed with us.
The Handmaid’s Tale
Reality TV programs -which is why I don’t know who ‘celebrities’ are.

😂😂😂

Yes, I'm looking at the lists posted above and nodding my head to so many of them..

We've recorded The Detectorists and Motherland.
Gavin and Stacey Loved Gavin and Stacey!

We used to like Death in Paradise with Kris Marshall so settled down for a bit of mind-numbing telly last night after all the Christmas excitement.
Don't bother with Death in Paradise - it was dire.

Callistemon21 Tue 27-Dec-22 11:21:50

I admit I've sometimes watched one episode of some programmes listed in this thread and thought - never again!

Me too! Death in Paradise is one. Loose Women is another.

IamMaz Tue 27-Dec-22 11:44:02

I’ve not watched Peaky Blinders. It’s the title that does it for me - sounds horrible!!!! LOL

Callistemon21 Tue 27-Dec-22 11:53:02

Nor me, although it's supposed to be good.

Mollygo Tue 27-Dec-22 11:55:38

IamMaz
It’s the title that puts me off too, though I stood and watched some of the filming.
