I do miss him. I used to laugh all the way as I drove to work every day.
I recently found some old 'Janet and John' stories on YouTube. Blimey! How did he get away with it. He'd never be allowed these days. What's happened to us? Have we all become snowflakes or just too woke or is the BBC trying too hard to be inoffensively bland? I know which I prefer.

Graham Norton is very entertaining. He's a good interviewer but is often funnier and cleverer than his, often, vapid guests. I watch the programme for him rather than the latest parade of people with something to advertise.

I watched a bit of Talking Pictures today about Bette Davies. There was a clip of Terry interviewing her when she was 79. She seemed quite taken with him and told him he was 'very attractive'.

Didn’t watch Talking Pictures, (seen previously) but watched Now Voyager before it. (Have also seen that many times).

One of my favourites.

“Don’t ask for the moon, Jerry, we have the stars”. ❤️

Sorry, digressing from Terry.

I know - going off thread - but just had to put in my twopennorth re Now Voyager, a film I love and have watched so many times.

The glory that was Sir Terry can never be regained. Deadly Alancote, Doctor Pauly and poor Jean Marais, who was such a game butt of the Janet & John stories ... like so many others my morning drive to work was always a dangerous undertaking as quite often I couldn't see the road for the tears of laughter. And the music was always wonderful, even after the powers-that-be decreed that nothing recorded before 1960 was allowed to be played, thus depriving us of Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Buddy Holly (to name but a few).

No longer listen to any BBC radio stations except for The Archers and sport on 5Live on a Saturday afternoon.

It was such a shock when Paul Walters died in 2006. Terry must have been devastated

My driving instructor was the double of Terry Wogan in appearance.
