What advert makes you want to throw something at the telly?

There are so many. I particularly cringe at the one for Our Time dating for over 50s. I just want to punch the two simpering actors! Grrrrrr
Also, car adverts like Peugeot who think they’ll sell cars by speaking in a silly French accent.
I must be getting old!

it is great to see that the adverts are doing exactly what they are meant to do, they are annoying but you remember them, the christmas ads every year you remember the story or song but if they just showed you that, you probably would not remember what store it is advertising.

You are a little devil Fanny. Any of JD’s adverts make this 76 year old come over ‘a bit unnecessary’ 😉

The one advertising pads for women who continually wet themselves

Just seen an awful one for Safe Style windows with ex England goalie David Seaman. Truly terrible!

I don’t know about that nexus - the advert with the revolting child is for a holiday firm but I’ve no idea which one. My only interest in finding out would be to avoid that one in case it attracted more of his ilk! 😳

anything by JML - goes on too long and can stand his voice

Not quite an advert. But the little promotion ads before Emmerdale are awful 'can people on Emmerdale watch Emmerdale', 'I bet Emmerdale gravy would be amazing'. Along those lines. An insult to my I telligence, even though they are meant tongue in cheek.

Nissan "Who said electrification can't spark excitement?"

Nissan you did! No one normal would even think about electric cars being exciting! Stupid ad

Gypsyqueen13 Sat 18-Feb-23 11:09:38

It’s the On The Beach adverts for me. I find that family so infuriating- especially the petulant way the boy licks his cone!

HeavenLeigh Sat 18-Feb-23 11:11:55

The one advertising pads for people that wet themselves makes me want to 🤮

Ktsmum Sat 18-Feb-23 11:13:21

Vicks Sinex, where she pleads for the verdict to be shortened, it's sentence not verdict !!

Ktsmum Sat 18-Feb-23 11:14:17

That boy 😱 oh my word, Awful !

Polremy Sat 18-Feb-23 11:14:37

The one about a “poonami” always seems to come on when I’m eating.

Janetashbolt Sat 18-Feb-23 11:14:56

literally never watch them even if I really want to watch a live programme I record it and start to watch it about half an hour later and ads aren't 3 mins any longer they are about 5 mins +

grannyro Sat 18-Feb-23 11:15:32

All perfume ads. They have no meaning or relevance!

ANMI52 Sat 18-Feb-23 11:16:43

The one with farmers singing out of tune - don’t know what it’s for, always mute it! Rather defeats the purpose I think

MrsTeacup Sat 18-Feb-23 11:17:07

And you what would you do for love? I hate that perfume ad , is it for Si and Daisy daisy and Omaze womens voice

Granless Sat 18-Feb-23 11:17:21

Biting into an apple which they obviously aren’t doing.
Talking animals
On the Beach ice-cream child … she should have pushed it into his face.
Cremation ads.
I’ll stop now.

Most of them are so inane they drive me nuts but particular ones are the donkey on the shoulders in the pot noodle ad and the donkey in the listerine ad. So wrong!!! Also howvery dare you the yoga incontinence one, it's like 'I've got a nappy on I don't have to try and control myself'. Same with the concert, sitting on somebody's shoulders with a pee filled pad just isn't right. I know incontinence can be a problem but these adverts are all wrong.

Daisy Daisy Daisy, also Perfect Perfect Perfect, but my top turn off is creepy boring SunLife Derek spying on the neighbours with his binoculars and sharing his parsnips and advice with June and Rose, (where else would you find a rose but a garden centre 🙄) who’s just been to a lovely funeral 😂😂 Not fussed on the SunLife granny who’s planning her funeral before going to the park with DD and DGD either. Also hate the Plusnet ads.

Growing0ldDisgracefully Sat 18-Feb-23 11:22:02

All of them. Usually ignored and fast forwarded but the ones which have annoyed are one for some sort of noodles, and one with some actor trying to flog sofas. No idea what brand either of these are, which shows how ineffective the adverts are.

Treacletoffee Sat 18-Feb-23 11:24:49

The Perfume ad - can’t even remember which one it’s for, but it’s like soft- porn in the name of selling c##p

MeowWow Sat 18-Feb-23 11:27:12

Daisy Ad, Go Compare, We Buy Any Car, the perfume one that starts off with a screech, to name a few. I normally mute as soon as the ads come on.

DeeDe Sat 18-Feb-23 11:29:11

All of them, especially on YouTube
Grunts!!!

JANH Sat 18-Feb-23 11:29:23

All of it, they are just so silly and mostly irrelevant.
I also detest that the noise level increases a few decibels with the adverts, attention seeking.
As far as the EE advert with a snake, what is the relevance of that. It terrified me as I loathe snakes, I once nearly trod on an adder whilst out walking. I cannot understand using creatures that people have phobias about to advertise something.
