Watched it recently and it is still lovely but very dated - Kenneth More is grooming the girls. I still rewatch Lawrence of Arabia which my friendship group loved.

A Summer Place watched as a teenager loved the music and still do.

Race with the Devil, starring Peter Fonda and Loretta Swit. It gave me the absolute chills. And still does.

"High Noon", Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. I enjoyed Cowboy stories and films especially those by Elmore Leonard my second would be Hombre with paul Newman. Blue eyes to die for.

To Sir with Love with Sidney Poitier as the teacher and Lulu (singing the opening song) and Judy Geeson as two of the adolescents

Doctor Zhivago ,I worked in a cinema in my early teens and saw it twice a day for a full 3 weeks as it was so popular .I still watch it when its on TV

Carrie, made me, along with most others at the cinema, jump out of my skin!

Definitely Dr Zhivago and also from that era Butch Cassidy and Funny Girl, I loved Barbra Streisand's unconventional, but beautiful looks. Later on The Godfather best film ever imo.

Forgot my first x rated film Bonnie and Clyde, serious crush on Warren Beatty after seeing that. Also loved Diana Ross in Lady Sings The Blues

I'm another for Bonnie and Clyde and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Not only great films which moved me (because they were shot up at the end) but also because the leading men made my teenage self swoon!

Yes, when I saw the real people and heard their story I was shocked. But even my teenage self realised that Warren and Faye were very glamourised versions created just for the screen.

I was 15 when I saw Ben-Hur for the first time. A marvellous thought provoking film. I have seen it numerous times since .

South Pacific which my friend and I saw lots of times, and then listened to her LP of the songs a lot, and cried at the sad bits.

I had a holiday job as an usherette in the local cinema. It was shift work, good money, and I thought I would see all the latest films.
The Sound of Music was on for the whole season and I saw it 52 times. I knew every word of the script, every dance move, every mistake. Us students used to sing and dance (quietly) at the back of the darkened auditorium.

The Searchers starring John Wayne. I was terrified that Indians would come and take me.

Whistle Down the Wind. I saw it when I was about 11 or 12. I was scared but fascinated.
Melody. I just loved the music. It was a lovely film.

Has to be The Godfather for me, just perfect. But I have also watched Becket, A Man For All Seasons and The Lion In Winter many times.
