Must admit anything that is hyped up by the media, telling us we should All should be watching and enjoying and having a party🙄 gives it a Big thumbs down from me👎👎 haven't watched it in years, but unfortunately you can't get away from the hype .

I’ll be missing it thanks a big family get together for a joint celebration of a diamond and a ruby wedding anniversary.

100 years of married bliss!! 😂

Nay

I love Eurovision and even better when the countries sing in their own language and reflect their culture. Love the Spanish entry.

No interest in Eurovision, and never have had.

Forsythia Fri 12-May-23 14:05:08

Unlikely to watch it. We used to years ago but not any longer.

Redrobin51 Fri 12-May-23 14:17:59

Not my thing at all.

Charleygirl5 Fri 12-May-23 14:23:14

I cannot stand it and would prefer to watch paint dry.

I have been watching Eurovision since I was a child. It started in 1956 before I was born.

My mum and I used to watch it every year. I remember Lulu, Dana, Cliff Richards and obviously Abba.

I had a few years in the 90's when I didn't watch it so much

I will definitely be watching it tomorrow night.

I am not really into the hype and all the camp followers. I don't watch all of the run up stuff but I do enjoy the final.

It's just nice to see people enjoying themselves.

We don't typically watch much on tv, but love Eurovision - we'll be watching with all our children and many of theirs. Fun!

Haven’t watched it in years. The closest I came was the Father Ted episode when Frs Ted and Dougal were deliberately given a dreadful song.

Grandmabatty Fri 12-May-23 14:40:56

I used to watch it and gave Eurovision parties where the food came from the countries entered. We would have such a laugh. However the pandemic put paid to that and they've never restarted. So I probably won't watch

What is all the media hype about? Many years went by and the U.K. entries didn't get anywhere in fact it was an embarrassment to the U.K. I liked our entry last year he came second and was good.
I am not all that interested in watching and probably will give it a miss.

JenniferEccles Fri 12-May-23 15:36:55

I don’t understand the appeal at all. Haven’t watched it for decades. I had always thought it was generally considered a bit naff, so I find all this interest in it bemusing.
It’s even been the third item on the tv evening news, regardless of what else is going on here and around the world.

I’m particularly amazed at how so many younger people are obsessed with it.

Smileless2012 Fri 12-May-23 15:39:13

We wont be watching, never liked it but to each their own.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 12-May-23 15:59:23

Will probably have a look, as who knows when the U.K. will host it again.

AGAA4 Fri 12-May-23 15:59:50

I won't be watching. I used to when my youngest DD was still at home but find it boring now.

DamaskRose Fri 12-May-23 16:22:36

Nay

TerriBull Fri 12-May-23 17:06:03

Absolutely Nay! I know there was actually a worthy song and singer last year who did well to come 2nd, but honestly what do we have to prove as far as musical talent on a world stage is concerned, we've always punched well above our weight and trail blazed in that respect, just look at all the groups, singers and songwriters who have emanated from these shores. Ok so Eurovision gave the world ABBA, but apart from them, I can't think of any other performer/s of note, but then I haven't watched it for years and years.

Juliet27 Fri 12-May-23 17:08:06

NAY

CatsCatsCats Fri 12-May-23 17:08:22

Whatever your thoughts on Eurovision I do think Zelensky should be allowed to speak a few words.

dogsmother Fri 12-May-23 17:08:55

Yes.
Enjoyed it many, many years ago and this is 5he first time since. Looking forward to tomorrow night.

BlueBelle Fri 12-May-23 17:09:22

Nay

Nicenanny3 Fri 12-May-23 17:09:44

Nay, our entry says she hates Britain, you couldn't make it up could you.

Witzend Fri 12-May-23 17:10:45

Nay. I don’t think I’ve watched it since Sandie Shaw won it in her bare feet.
