Must admit anything that is hyped up by the media, telling us we should All should be watching and enjoying and having a partyš gives it a Big thumbs down from mešš haven't watched it in years, but unfortunately you can't get away from the hype .
Well every year I say Iām not interested, itās had its day, I wonāt be watching, every year I decide to tune in ājust for a few minutes, to see how itās goingā, and every year I still seem to be there when the votes are being counted. And I really enjoyed that part last year.
Nay. I havenāt seen it for years, apart from the rare occasion when I think I should check it out. Once confronted with all the screaming and dramatics, it quickly gets switched off again until the memory has faded enough to make me look again. I think Iām next due to take a peek in 2027. š
Well done Liverpool for hosting.š¶ I know some people who are going and I hope they have a fab time.
Don't ususlly watch ( last time was when Wogan was commentator) .
But my grandsons were allowed to watch for first time last year and today at school pick up were talking about the Banana wolf song. So will probably take a look (a yey then) They will be most likely be chatting on WhatsApp .
Not sure I will be able to endure the voting though ( a nay ) Quite happy to find out winner on Sunday .
I used to enjoy it years ago but itās now just a big party for the LGBT community. Not that thereās anything wrong with that, but I feel a bit disconnected now. Iāll watch it though.
Yay I go through fits and starts with it. Currently in a yay phase. Didnt watch it around 2000 or whenever when Uk won with Katrina and the Waves. Didnt think she stood a chance anyway. Shows what I know!
Can't believe the BBC news is based on the Eurovision site and is the main news item. I think they've lost their sense of proportion.
I think they have.
DM[not really the place to discuss that here] seem to have lost their way as regards headlines at least, as well. Syria seems to have been a flash in the pan.
You and me both Aveline. I will be glad when itās over.
It's worse than that GSM. She will soon have a German passport thanks to Germanyās process of giving citizenship to descendants of Nazi persecution, and then apparently she is going to live in Spain. OK fair enough, her choice, but why publicly slag off the country which has given you the opportunity to get where you have?
I donāt like it at all. Awful music. Just a sham show. The rest of my family love it and are off to Liverpool tomorrow - we are in Cheshire so not that far away - to enjoy the daytime offerings, then my son and his family are hosting their customary Eurovision party in the evening. It is my idea of torture so I will remain at home and listen to my audio book. Bah humbug and all that.
I watched when Terry Wogan was there but not since. The music and hype are not for me. I do think though that a lot of people are enjoying it and it's good for Liverpool, each to their own.
