Will Holly Willoughby will come out of this unscathed? It's a sad and tawdry business, and people are judged by the company they keep. She has expressed her discomfort at and dislike of what has gone on, and said she is shocked that she was kept in ignorance by PS, but sometimes that isn't enough for sponsors who will not want any whisper of unpleasantness associated with their brand, however innocent the individual may be. What a mess.

That means nothing really does it?Princess Diana was only 13 when she first met Charles … just saying! Not opinion - just fact. Not a fan of Schofield at all and, if it’s proven that something more sinister has occurred in his ‘relationship’ with this young man, then he deserves all he gets. But simply having met someone at a young age doesn’t necessarily equate to wrong-doing.

Indeed the late Queen was apparently 13 when she fell for Prince Philip - something everyone seems to find charming. I’m not sure where it was stated that McGreevy was 10 when they met. I read that Scofield gave a talk at his school when McGreevy was 15, and he approached Scofield about a job which he did eventually get, but not till he was 18.

Having read a bit more online about Mr McGreevy, is it just possible that he was using "contacts" as well?
As a teenager he was an athlete[competing in European Championships 2016 apparently] plus being an actor before he was 20.

I cant believe I am saying this BUT I feel an element of sympathy for him and Im not quite understanding why matters in his personal life has caused ALLLLL THIS ?

And now Eammon has waded in !! I love Eammon and ok from what I read, he not a fan of Mr Schofields, BUT once again thats a personal, private issue...

It appears the proverbial hit the fan at The Television Awards in 2020 when McGreevy, obviously a bit tired and emotional publicly declared his love for Phillip.
That went down so well that not long after Phillip announced he was gay. As if anyone needed to be told 😱

Apparently ITV paid the young man off it is now being reported. If this is correct then heads at the top really should roll. The whole business stinks.

ITV morning programmes need a good shake up . Philip is not the only presenter that needs to go . Good morning Britain is so stale . The presenters just seem to want to wind the viewers up whether the subject is The Government or Brexit or The Pandemic . They are constantly scare mongering . This Morning has been following the same format for many years and needs a shake up of presenters , not just Philip.
Lorraine needs to be sent back to Scotland but all the presenters that stand in for her need to be axed too .
I also cannot stand to watch Loose Women , they are a coven of nasty witches , except for Ruth , Colleen and Carol who doesn’t seem to be on it now .
The BBC nearly as bad but their main fault is wheeling out those 3 women pensioners of a morning on the customer rights programme. Why are they still boring us at the age of 80+? Surely it it time to give the new younger talent coming out of acting school a chance to get onto TV .
I suspect Gloria Honeyford et al must have a contract to carry on until they reach 100 or die, whichever comes first!

The issue here is not just a question of how old the young man in question is - I have heard, from numerous sources, that Schofield met him when he was just 15, although supposedly the relationship did not start until he was "legal". It is also an issue of abuse of power - a much older powerful man, potentially grooming a very much younger one who was in a subordinate position to him. No way did Holly not know, at least according to all the former ITV/This Morning employees who are now speaking out. Apparently it was an open secret, but ITV have extremely good lawyers and nobody wanted to risk it - even assuming there was a direct path to doing anything about it in the first place, which is unlikely. I knew when Schofield resigned from This Morning that a story was about to break - and I was right. I think there is much more to come on this issue, not least the alleged culture of bullying and intimidation at ITV - so many have spoken out against this, now it is all over the media. This Morning needs to go - if ITV want to salvage anything from this mess then they need a new show with new faces, they have already lost tens of millions in advertising money as companies distance themselves from the scandal. Schofield is a liar and a cheat, I would not believe a word he says and I think there will be many more revelations to come.
