Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

eGJ Sat 10-Aug-24 12:09:59

Susan would be the last person I’d reveal anything to Wyllow

As time goes on, the position of Emma and Will hiding the truth makes them also guilty of "withholding evidence".
My guess it either George will go off the rails or Emma cannot bear to carry the secret any longer and talks to, say, Susan.

Top scene for me would be Harrison finding out the truth!

I’m looking forward to the wrath of Brian and Kenton having a ceremonial smashing of the second edition ‘hero’ beer glass. He’ll do anything to get the punters in! 😂🥳

Farzanah Sat 10-Aug-24 10:32:24

I think it is a good example because truth will out in the end.
I think the story line is good and I was almost feeling sorry for George who seemed to be coming round to confessing, until it took a silly turn last night

They are trying to keep the suspense going for as long as pos to attract listeners but are losing a teeny bit of credibility.

Wyllow3 Sat 10-Aug-24 10:31:11

That depends on the outcome......?

eGJ Sat 10-Aug-24 09:35:17

Not a good example for all the young people who listen to The Archers! grin

Wyllow3 Fri 09-Aug-24 21:43:12

Me, because sense of injustice and lying makes me so cross.

I think Chris has already confronted Harry. Everyone knows now it's not him.

How stupid.
Who is writing this rubbish??

And why am I listening?? 😂

Wyllow3 Fri 09-Aug-24 21:30:29

To state the obvious, wasn't Harry in rehab when the incident took place?

Even more disgusted with George.

merlotgran Fri 09-Aug-24 21:28:17

Silly is putting it mildly.

George, Have you never heard the saying, ‘When you’re in a hole, stop digging?’

NotSpaghetti Fri 09-Aug-24 20:03:59

Oh don't tell me yet!!
😂

Scribbles Fri 09-Aug-24 19:20:12

Oh dear! Now it's just getting silly...

NotSpaghetti Fri 09-Aug-24 00:42:43

Yes. But it would have been better (I think) if they had done this about the real person. Not as part of the Archers and in dialogue.

RosiesMaw2 Fri 09-Aug-24 00:40:05

Roy, the actor, is. I imagine this was designed as a tribute to him.

NotSpaghetti Fri 09-Aug-24 00:11:11

Scribbles I thought it was inappropriate and sounded like Roy was dead.

I wasn't impressed

Wyllow3 Thu 08-Aug-24 23:59:29

Was a tad frustrated no news on George/Emma/ telling William!

merlotgran Thu 08-Aug-24 23:44:45

I thought tonight's epi was very well played by Kellie Bright and Anabelle Dowler and was a beautifully written allegorical eulogy to Ian Pepperell.

I thought we’d had some sort of closure on Roy with the video conference so the only reason they’re dragging it out must be to prolong the Alice storyline.

Fazanah grin

I do like how planning for fetes etc are done just a month before. The SW don't live in the real world!!

Farzanah Thu 08-Aug-24 10:53:59

I’m quite liking the Archers at the moment. It’s provides a nice interlude away from reality 😀

Wyllow3 Thu 08-Aug-24 09:58:04

Yes, I think she'll respect Joy for standing up to her. I hope the scheme for transport between the two events works out.

NotSpaghetti Thu 08-Aug-24 08:03:53

I think Joy and Linda may end up as a good team.

Wyllow3 Wed 07-Aug-24 23:28:52

Oh yes, that was fab.

Scribbles Wed 07-Aug-24 23:08:31

Am I the only one who thought the scriptwriters got it right when Joy told Lynda where to get off? I've been waiting years for someone to do that!

Wyllow3 Wed 07-Aug-24 21:41:31

I was so frustrated they cut it off before she told Will! Wanted to hear his reaction. But got it right about "fun party timing"
