Is anyone still listening or have you given up?

Iam64 Thu 24-Aug-23 11:28:43

It would also mirror her behaviour with Rob when they were married. Appeasingbullies never works

Wyllow3 Thu 24-Aug-23 12:07:08

Very true.

Hope Emma isn't naive enough to think it should have "worked".

DaisyAnneReturns Thu 24-Aug-23 14:04:54

I was so pleased she didn't give way. It will help her.

But George still can't see what he's done can he? I wonder if this will open Oliver's eyes - if he gets to hear about it.

Wyllow3 Fri 25-Aug-23 19:46:21

In the end.....after tonights TA, I thought Helen did the right thing.

Just about!

merlotgran Fri 25-Aug-23 20:07:33

I think she’ll regret it. George isn’t going to change overnight.

Wyllow3 Fri 25-Aug-23 20:31:38

No, you're right, I don't think anyone could.

Its clearly "last chance saloon at the farm"

What matters - is he capable of change or as Helen described, someone 'beyond" the pale for life.

That's a big ask, given how manipulative he has been. Has he got remorse inside?

merlotgran Fri 25-Aug-23 21:36:42

Pip’s struggle with her sexuality will be even more complicated when she realises she’s pregnant and Toby couldn’t be more delighted. 🤔

eGJ Sat 26-Aug-23 07:14:19

merlot you usually get it right. We’ll have to wait on that one!
However, would RT devote a page to her new relationship in the circumstances?

Allsorts Sat 26-Aug-23 07:54:21

I missed a few episodes and didn't realise that Pip and Toby had rekindled their relationship. I thought Pip was celibate.
I was getting very fed up with the girlfriend always being there though, I think she is too prickly by far and hard work.

Iam64 Sat 26-Aug-23 14:56:28

I don’t get the impression Pip is celebrate, more that she hasn’t found anyone she fancies. Like busses, two always arrive at once

merlotgran Sun 03-Sept-23 20:55:32

So is Helen heading for anorexia again?

NotSpaghetti Mon 04-Sept-23 07:40:23

I think so merlotgran.

Iam64 Mon 04-Sept-23 07:54:38

Poor appetite and over exercising also go hand in hand with prolonged chronic stress
I wish Helen could hear the listeners shouting - get therapy helen

eGJ Mon 04-Sept-23 13:21:17

Perhaps we aren’t shouting loud enough. It’s heartbreaking but realistic and we all hope she gets proper help soon - perhaps when Lee returns.

NotSpaghetti Mon 04-Sept-23 17:20:55

And why did Tom's wife take away her dinner after the Pat conversation earlier?
🙄

eGJ Mon 04-Sept-23 18:35:48

Natasha often doesn’t demonstrate joined up thinking😗

Iam64 Mon 04-Sept-23 19:57:38

Lee has a new job on coronation street - well, the actor does. Is he going to stay in California,

merlotgran Mon 04-Sept-23 20:05:46

Kirsty can then move in permanently with Helen freeing up a bedroom at Roy’s (where’s he gone?) for Hannah.

Sorted! 😂

eGJ Mon 04-Sept-23 21:00:26

You always hit the Archer nail on the head merlot and sort things out for the scriptwriters!😄

NotSpaghetti Mon 18-Sept-23 23:10:20

Now Fallon knows the café is doomed will she finally apply for/take on the one at the charging station?
This is driving me mad...
So bloomin obvious!
Get on with it!!

In case anyone’s wondering why there are so many references to Lark Rise to Candleford….They’re flogging their own show! 😂😂

Patsy70 Wed 20-Sept-23 21:06:02

Started to tune in again after a long time and enjoying it. Although, there are certain characters who are less that tolerable!

eGJ Fri 29-Sept-23 20:40:50

Rob’s back next week to spoil the Lark Rise induced bucolic atmosphere!

merlotgran Fri 29-Sept-23 20:43:32

Thank goodness for that. I’m all Lark Rised out!

dogsmother Fri 29-Sept-23 20:59:34

Yes Merlot, yes!
