I went to a recording of Pointless. Neither Alexander Armstrong nor Richard Osman made any connection with the audience AT ALL. Both on their phones or tablets etc….. It was very disappointing.

But Bradley Walsh on the Chase!!!! He was all in the audience and absolutely great.

DD went to a Pointless recording. She said Alexander Armstrong gave the audience a speech that she felt he'd said 100 times before, but that Richard Osman spent time chatting with the contestants individually.

I like Richard Osman. We often watch his House of Games as well and all the many times I’ve seen him I’ve never once known him try to put someone else down or make a mean comment.

He always seems like a thoroughly nice, decent man.

We were told not to use 'nice' as a descriptive adjective at school but it seems appropriate.

I expect you may have physical characteristics which people may dislike but it's rude to point them out.

Poor Richard! What an unkind thing to say about him.... especially as it's not at all true. He is all the good things that have been posted on here and I can't wait for his House of Games programme to come back. We usually eat our dinner when it's on.

If you watch Richard Osman on Who Do You Think You Are, you can't help but like the man.

I have always liked Richard Osman, and after seeing him on Who Do You Think You Are? I liked him even more. He seemed such a humane and caring person and I don't think he's "full of himself" at all.

Liked Stephen Mangan and Lucy Porter about equally. Didn’t like Konnie who got more and more strident as time went on. Can’t stand Gyles so may give Pointless a miss for a while. Zander is an innocuous presenter IMHO. Just goes to show, from all the comments here, that everyone has different opinions and that’s good!

I thought Sally Lindsay was very good, she has such a sparkly personality!

Decided to give Pointless with Gyles another go. Unfortunately I tuned in to one with a Celebrity round and an Identify this famous location round. During the Celebrity round he was pleased to inform us that he had met 3 of the celebrities and during the other he had stayed, at the invitation of the owner, at the stately home in one of the questions. It seems he is using Pointless to boast about his accomplishments and contacts. Grrrr!!

I can't wait to hear that it is his last time on "Pointless" ....... and maybe (fingers crossed) Stephen Mangan is coming back!!
