Anyone watching? Very gory, but in a blackly comic way.

Great tv , I try to block out the gory bits . Very whimsical in parts . Loved the scene when the main female character turned up as a Russian. Looking forward to watching it tonight.

I have watched most of it and it is very well done. To me it is a mixture of Coen Brothers films and Killing Eve.

I’ve just watched the second episode & am not enamoured with it . Far too much violence for me . Hubby is liking it so I’ll watch 1 more episode to please him but doubt I’ll watch a 4 th . I’d rather read a good book

Watching on iPlayer on episode 2 , just my cup of tea 😄

I m not bothered by the gore just finding it more ridiculous each episode
I ve even gone off Baptise who I used to love not because he’s a baddie just dont like him in this yuk
I find it ridiculous not funny when somethings funny it makes me laugh I m not laughing
texted my daughter to see if she was watching she sad what I felt ‘a load of old tosh’

Really enjoying it. Truly weird though. The tailor and the pasties baker is a lovely twist!

Rainnsnow Mon 27-Nov-23 05:30:08

So will we see a change in the Tailor due to finding love with the pasty woman? Love how daft it is

Curlywhirly Mon 27-Nov-23 12:00:43

I agree that the story is getting rather ridiculous - but I am enjoying it nonetheless. It's very different from the usual thriller, it makes a change, so I'll continue to watch.

Aaah, true love 🙂

All will be revealed.

We finished watching last night. I am feeling very underwhelmed as is DH.

MayBee70 Mon 27-Nov-23 14:17:24

I had to read a synopsis to work out what had happened in the first two episodes. May have to do the same for the rest. It might be that, as with similar things I’ve watched, once I get get over being fascinated by the quirkiness of it I lose interest. I do like it, though.

GolferGrandma Mon 27-Nov-23 15:45:37

started with the first episode but didn't care for the whole programme, especially the continuous foul language! I don't consider myself a prude, but enough is enough. Won't be watching any more.

Stuck with it. I did enjoy it and was pleased that it had a proper ending. I get tired of watching things with ambiguous endings or endings eg The Tourist that are there to provide a second series.

BlueBelle Tue 28-Nov-23 13:07:53

I loved the Tourist but not loving this, although I will see it through Don’t mind the gore, don’t mind the bad language, but find the story totally daft not even quirky ( I like quirky) just plain daft and The tailor has gone from one of my favourite actors to yuk especially his ‘love life’ I m more Squamish about that than the gore

MayBee70 Tue 28-Nov-23 17:51:13

I preferred The Tourist but really hate cliffhanger endings, especially when I’ve binge watched something to find out what happens.

BlueBelle Mon 04-Dec-23 22:14:05

Well that was the biggest load of twaddle I ve ever sat through

granma47 Tue 05-Dec-23 18:18:47

I don't know why I persevered

Disaster last night. We were watching the Boat Story, last episode. There was less than 5 minutes to go when we had a power cut. We are not in the UK so can not watch on iplayer.
Would anyone like to repeat what happened in those last 3 to 5 minutes

Jaxjacky Tue 05-Dec-23 22:16:48

Thoroughly enjoyed it, we both did, a very different role for Tchèky Jaryo from Baptiste, Daisy Haggard was good too. Roll on the next Story.

I tried to watch it but thought it was very violent, they are raising the bar too much and normalising these bike acts. What sort of mind thinks them up.

Allsorts Wed 06-Dec-23 22:42:05

Just where did bike come from, I don't know I never wrote it but there it is.
