Oh yes, SAS, not MI5! Knew there were initials involved!

Yes, it’s a strange storyline. Who will be the next one who wants to be done away with?

I think poor old Nigel needs to look away from his bridge games, and keep an eye on his back.

shock

I've finished all episodes and all I can say is that I wasn't expecting that !!

Primrose53 Fri 12-Jan-24 09:47:42

I don’t want that young policewoman to get to the bottom of this, but no doubt she will. 😢

Parsley3 Fri 12-Jan-24 09:50:59

I have watched it all now. All is not what it seems, my friends.

silverlining48 Fri 12-Jan-24 09:58:30

How many more episodes are there?

Lovetopaint037 Fri 12-Jan-24 10:23:27

Blooming hell! I was told by dh it was about euthanasia so we didn’t fancy it. Now it seems you have all been enjoying it!! When you get to our age (eighties)you don’t want to overthink death and consider it entertainment.

LucyAnna Fri 12-Jan-24 10:26:11

I think there are 6 episodes silverlining. I will probably watch to the end, but I though EP 3 was daft! The neighbour, knowing the wife was on her own, would have seen Phil and Ken. All very far fetched!

Sparklefizz Fri 12-Jan-24 10:45:35

Agree that there were holes in the plot but overall I enjoyed it. It wasn't that depressing Lovetopaint

Louella12 Fri 12-Jan-24 12:11:18

It was quite an absurd show but we binge watched yesterday and I found it mildly entertaining in a comedic fashion.

Serious, interesting subject but ruined by nonsensical storyline.

I did burst out laughing at the almost final scene.

I hope she does.

I don’t like Phil. I bet she was awful to work for.

You’ve got me wondering what the end is 🤣

I wondered if the ending might be two of them left - one has to bump the other off shock

I binge watched this,I wasnt expecting the ending,I did wonder wether David the doctor had been treating Marion as her GP was una ware of her dementia, also wonder wether he had been treating the brother ken as well.
A few holes in the plot but enjoyed it.

I found the killing of Ken uncomfortable to watch, and the whole subject of euthanasia is an uncomfortable thought for myself.

The brother was Tom, the lover was Ken. Strewth, it was complicated enough!

We enjoyed it!

Blinko it was confusing, but I still enjoyed it smile

Just watched all the episodes and agree that the ending wasn’t what I was expecting either. Loved the whole series, didn’t find it complicated at all.

I've watched it. Incredibly far fetched, but quite absorbing. The old people were all a bit dim though. Most older people I know delight in discussing who they have seen for any medical problem and their diagnosis. There also seemed to be a shortage of family members, and wasn't Ken's son a little young for him?

nandad Sun 14-Jan-24 23:12:53

wasn't Ken's son a little young for him How did you work that one out? My husband is 75, our son is 30.

I suppose many men with a 30 year old son would be late 50’s, early 60’s.

But there again some will be in their 70’s or 80’s.

No right or wrong age really.

silverlining48 Mon 15-Jan-24 08:13:52

Think Charlie Chaplin smile

silverlining48 Mon 15-Jan-24 10:21:17

Or mick jagger at 80 with a 8 children, youngest 6 year old ....

But Ken married early- Phil went to find him and he was married. She had a daughter with children aged about 10+, so mid 30-40. So Ken's child would probably have been older.
I suppose he could have waited 20 years for a child, but the mum would have been very old.

Glorianny Mon 15-Jan-24 11:00:20

Oh and would he have been serving in the SAS when the son was little? You have to leave at 42
