The ones I watch (not particularly good I have to say ) are, apart from the news, Bargain Hunt ( British) and Millionaire (Australian with Eddie McGuire). Just a habit. I watch Vera a lot,too and another one we have here, Hard Quiz.

No. The things I like are not on every day.

Bargain Hunt episodes are often so old. We try to guess the year by the presenters haircuts! However, now that Natasha Ruskin Sharp has had a baby we’re watching newer ones to see how well she hid her bump.

Usually The Chase marks 'down tools' time here. We have a cup of tea and try to 'win'. Then its on to the evening...!

No. I didn’t have a TV until recently, and I still don’t watch it much: an hour on Monday evenings for two quiz shows I enjoy, and I recently watched some episodes of Digging for Britain, which was on for an hour over three consecutive evenings for maybe three weeks.. I mainly wanted it for some sporting events which haven’t started yet this year, but when they start, I shall turn into a couch potato for weeks.

My local BBC news at 6.30 pm, on after the main news at 6.
I love seeing local events, local people, and the presenters become like friends.

Pointless on BBC1 then turn over for Richards House of Games on BBC2 smile

I listen to The Archers every day. Does that count? 😃

Only the early BBC or Sky news at the same time most days. Football/Rugby and other sport is dictated by the match times, so not the same time every day.
Films tend to be streamed and series we like are occasional and often watched on catch up.

I'm an unapologetic and avid soap fan. I watch Emmerdale, Corrie and Enders. I know most people think they are mindless rubbish but I enjoy my bit of escapism and gives me a link to UK.

I record Classic Coronation Street every day and watch 2 episodes every evening. Love it.
Sadly the current Corrie is dreadful and I have lost touch with what is going on.

Parsley3 Sun 28-Jan-24 13:40:54

I record Countdown and watch it with my evening meal. I haven't done this for years though so perhaps it won't count.

JaneJudge Sun 28-Jan-24 13:44:11

I watch Coronation Street and Four in a Bed (FIAB on catch up usually)

I hate the snobbery around television! I've just remembered I like watching gogglebox as well but I'm not sure if it is back on.

I like watching comedy as an escape, on tv and in real time but people are snobby about that too (their loss grin )

Every weekday I record Four in a Bed, Escape to the Country and Richard Osman's House of Games and watch them in the early evening, including whilst eating my dinner (I live alone). I also record The Archers omnibus. I have listened since I was a child.

sodapop Sun 28-Jan-24 15:36:57

I agree JaneJudge so many people apparently only watch documentaries or other improving programmes.

I like Four in a Bed and Escape to the Country as well shysal apart from the predictability of some the house hunters. I think we all know now that the kitchen is the heart of the home smile

I like to watch Countdown if I’m at home. Sometimes I might catch it early next morning, but I don’t record it and I’m not bothered if I miss it.

eddiecat78 Sun 28-Jan-24 15:54:49

Bargain Hunt at lunchtime then The Chase followed by House of Games at teatime (plus all the other quizzes on Monday evenings)

Ashcombe Sun 28-Jan-24 16:45:28

I agree with so many of the choices here especially regarding the News (including local), quizzes, FIAB and Classic Corrie!

Germanshepherdsmum Sun 28-Jan-24 16:59:00

Only the News.

Labradora Sun 28-Jan-24 18:00:58

Yup Daily News.Otherwise weekly rather than daily? Tend to watch the medical soaps regularly. We are down to Casualty only now that Holby City has gone.

Urmstongran Sun 28-Jan-24 19:04:27

Only GBNews. 😁
Drama & documentaries on BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc.
actually - why do I have a TV licence? 🤔
Oh yes, Himself has just watched Man. Utd in the 4th round of the FA Cup on tv.
⚽️

Urmstongran Sun 28-Jan-24 19:06:29

Btw - I’m not the least bit snobby! I just like reading more than tv.

crazyH Sun 28-Jan-24 19:17:45

Evening - The Chase, followed by the Local News, then International News - they are a must watch for me
Afternoon - Four in a Bed
Morning - Jeremy Vine
Any True Crime Documentary on Netflix.

Ooh, no. There’s far too much interesting stuff on streaming services.
I do watch The Chase, though. I’m in a quiz team so it’s like homework for me.
